Oh good news! I just pissed her off alot and she stopped talking to me. I made a snarky comment about a list of faults (that let me remind you) she made me do. Then she just. Stopped talking to me.

Fuck. I keep fucking things up.

Call/text/smoke signal her, apologize, tell her why you did it (you're frustrated with the fact that you feel like you keep effing things up). I repeat: girls like that talking stuff.

Oh no. You have broken the dried mud wall that I have been keeping my bad experiences in.

Short version so I don't think to much into it;

She broke up with me because of her parents aparently told her too, she said we would get back together if her grades went up.
I needed a second alone with my thoughts, so after giving her a pat on the shoulder I go and sit by a friend.
The next day, her friend comes and yells at me for walking away from her.
Basically, it goes on to the point were the breakup becomes my fault. It took a good 7-8 months to get over it.

I did learn the importance of not letting your emotions show. It helps with your maturity.

Ah yes, this is why I stay out of relationships. As a female I'm supposed to understand why she's saying all of that and I don't. Frankly, if she really thinks you're that amazing... why isn't she with you? And that "I'm not good enough for you" BS is just a bit too coy for my tastes.

No wonder men think we're confusing.

Oh and do you want me to be brutally honest?

She might very well know that the guy she's with is an asshole, she might know that you're the better option, and she might know that the choice is very obvious. However, she might genuinely believe that if she gets in a relationship with you, you might realize that all of her flaws are just too much to hassle with and that she'd rather feel like the better person in her relationship now. Or she might know all of this... and just not be in love with you. It's a bugger of a problem. You know that someone is cut-out cookie perfect for you, there's physical chemistry, there's emotional chemistry... but there's not "I really want to be with you/I can see myself married to you in the future" love.

Aye-ya. Thats a lot to choke down. Cause its a "either she is into you but (or a) Maybe she isn't into you that way" scenario.

I mean thanks, but it sucks TT_TT

Thank Odhinn that i have some sort of future ahead of me. It's the gift of youth, the ability to be hurt physically, mentally, or emotionally and bound back. The world is before us, and soon this will all be either worked out or forgotten.

Lately, it seems that everyone is telling me their relationship horror stories. Some are nice stories of second grade crushes. Some are funny. Some are actually horrific. Care to share?
An extremely large repository of relationship/potential relationship-in-progress stories exists at the Relationship Problem thread, at the following link ---> http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.117161-Relationship-problem-thread?page=1

Other people who have been posting their problems here may also find that thread useful, feel free to repost there, or link from there to here in that thread if you want advice, otherwise I'll assume that you don't want any help and leave your problems alone.

As for my own stories, I have a lot, from the amazingly fortuitously positive to stuff that will make you cry and scream at the terrible unfairness and cruelty of the world. Right now things are going well for me so I'll tell you the story of that.

One day, a particularly horny female friend of mine made a Facebook status update (boycott Facebook are you kidding? That thing is a goldmine...), it read something along the lines of:

[Horny Female Friend]: I'm really horny tonight, it's a good thing I'm going to this party tonight because I'm sure to get some action!

I replied back:

[BonsaiK]: How come I never get invited to any of these parties?

The response:

[HFF]: Leave it with me, I'll try and swing you an invite.

Sure enough, she did. So I drive over to HFF's house where her and some female friends of hers are hanging out. Then we go to this party. As it happens the house is a reasonably fancy one with a pool, allegedly belonging to some local drug dealer. He immediately sells the girls drugs and they all complain about how his drugs are crap and they don't do anything, I'm convinced to this day he sold them headache tablets or something. Anyway while this is happening I meet my future girlfriend, we'll call her X. She looks drop dead gorgeous and I recognise her face, I've seen her around, I've also seen some of her gothic fetish modelling work before. The introduction went like this:

BonsaiK: Hi, I'm BonsaiK.
X: Hi, I'm X. I've seen you before.
BonsaiK: Yeah I've seen you too, you're always at goth clubs.
X: Yeah I've seen you at clubs but I've always been with someone so I've never gone up to you, however I always thought you were cute.
BonsaiK: Really? Well, you're quite cute too.
X: Thanks.
BonsaiK: Come here. [kissing ensues]

Elapsed time between meeting her and this happening - about one minute. Then me, X, HFF and two other girls went skinny-dipping in the pool. Then I drove everybody home. I've been seeing X every few days ever since, so far it's going well, we're pretty much on the same page concerning a lot of things...

Sadly, it's the best I can do to logic it out. Either way, you are right. You're young and with any luck this won't be the only time you fall in love.

Every girl I've had a romantic interest in, coincidentally, has a name beginning in a hard 'k' sound. I only realized this recently, and it was pretty trippy. (Btw, that's 5 girls, in case you doubted)

OH. Interesting new development. She has an issue with being in a relationship with a military man. I'm planning on going in.

Well she told me one of the reasons she is staying with her BF is because when he decided he wanted to be in the navy she was willing to do anything to make it work. To get over her issue of being a military wife. Yeah. She just now told me the bomb shell. Which basically means thats it, game over.

You lose. Nice try. Put your initials in for high score. If it's any consolation we can always still be friends.

I hate arcade games.

Love leads to wedding rings. I mean thats generally how things lead.

Of her list of things she would have to do to be a military wife, she said she would be able to do every one for me. But be alone.

I once had a girlfriend who won a majory beauty pagent, could play the guitar (and was, in fact, a performing musician with both band and album) and was endlessly fascinating. It didn't work out and for some reason people think my reason for terminating the relationship was insane: I was tired of being the least interesting thing that would happen in her day.

I sort of hope you meant that to be kind of humorous because I laughed... I felt bad for you, but I did laugh. It sort of made me wonder if that's how Ken feels toward Barbie.

Mind still blown. How did this not come in your countless other conversations? Didn't she feel the need to mention it?

No. I knew all of this prior. She just explained it in a way why we would never work. and now i'm heart broken.

So. In this thread we went from jokes, to problems, to minute by minute heart broken.

HA!

Good thread.
