Whenever I play a game, I just seem to be blowing the head off either a zombie or a Nazi. Are there any games which are actually relaxing? Whilst ridding the world of hordes of the undead is entertaining, its hardly relaxing.

So I would like a few game suggestions please, preferably cheap or free. :)

Thanks.

Osmos is relaxing and you get it as part of the humble indie bundle 3, provided you pay over the average of around $6

Echo Bazaar springs to mind, but as it's a browser game it has an obnoxious turn limit so you can only play for a short while every day...

If you want to give it a try, this is the link: echobazaar.failbettergames.com

Other than that, I can't really think of much. Minecraft on peaceful mode might do, but I just find it boring like that myself. Maybe a game like The Patrician series, which focuses on trading goods?

A lot of games from the Humble Bundle are relaxing indies games and you name your price, but be sure to donate at least $6 for last years games.

Amnesia Dark Des...im kidding. I find Terraria quite relaxing if you stay above underground level. Zoning out to some dubstep or Drum and Bass in Audiosurf is quite nice too.

Super Meat Boy. I am totally being serious.

...

...Naw, I'm just kidding! Play Amnesia: The Dark Descent. While the game isn't relaxing at all, it'll make every other game relaxed in comparison.

Something like the Sims or Sim City would be quite relaxing. Don't have to be on your toes all the time. Just leisurely click away.

Oblivion can, at times, be VERY relaxing.

Sitting there, on the hills overlooking the Imperial City, Tamriel's twin moons rising up as the sun sets and the music playing ... Bliss.

Borderlands is pretty much the most relaxing game ever when you're playing with friends.

Minecraft on Peaceful. Whats more relaxing than building in a lego world with calm music!

Minecraft on Peaceful. Very relaxing. No monsters to piss you off. Just don't swim in lava, or jump off a cloud, and you should be A-ok.

And I'm not sure it's RELAXING, but poker night at the inventory is pretty laid back and not crazy actiony while being fun (it's basically poker against Max [From Sam and Max], Tycho of penny arcade, the Heavy from TF2, and Strong Bad from....wherever he's from). I tend to play it while surfing the net, or eating, or when I just want something fun but not fast paced. I like their idle chatter. It makes it feel like you're actually playing against people and not AIs.

0_o I dunno what Broderlands you're talking about. The one I played with my two buddies was nothing but nonstop anarchy. Raiders and skags all over us, with Badass class monsters rampaging in the mix, bullets flying everywhere, yells over skype to throw down a turret NOW, as well as battle cheers.

In other words, it was some of the best fun I've had with a shooter. ....But SOOOO not relaxing.

Arkham Asylum's challenge rooms can be a nice stress reliever if you're pretty good at them.
