Im lookin for a reliable internet service. the current internet service i have now is version and it has been acting buggy lately. when i first got it was great and rarely did the intenet randomly turn off. but now after like about 3 months the internet has gone full blown crazy. it randomly turns off the internet more than like 5-6 times a day to the point where i rarely play online any more cause 9 times out of 10 it will randomly shut off the internet in the middle of a game. i try calling verizion but they give me no real useful advice. they is my phone jacks wking, did i tun it on and off ETC. i replaced almost all my phone jacks and they wrk. so i decided to try and find another service. so what internet connections do you guys use when yall play online that offers little to no problem.

PS: i use Wi-fi on my ps3 and wired connection with the 360 and wii.

PS PS PS: im using Version /broadband and im in Washington DC America.

ps ps ps ps: there are two versions of verision the best one is Fios but they dnt offer it in most states so most people hhave to deal with Verision Broadband which is very very very un impressive

First, fix your grammar. Make your post readable. Second, provide country. And third, if it's Aus, get TPG.

This. I'm using them. I don't mean to sound evangelistic, but their connection speeds are seriously impressive, and reliability hasn't been half-bad either. It certainly makes up for their atrocious website.

By the way, it might not be your plan that's the issue. If you have lots of consoles hooked up to the one wireless router, they might overload it - some routers can only hold up to four connections at once. This would certainly cause your internet to cut out until the router rebooted several minutes later.

You mention phone jacks - are you using dialup? If so, that's your problem. Any little 'noise' static on the line at any point will bump you, whether the interference with the wires is somewhere in your house or outside - usually outside, particularly in wet weather. And companies don't particularly care if phone lines are clean enough for data transfer, so long as there's no audible static when you're talking.

I've used dialup for years, and while its alright for most things its NOT good for online gaming. If you're going to go online for games, upgrade to cable, DSL, broadband, satellite...ANYTHING else.
