Molyneux's development cycles are a perfect metaphor for courtship. You get promised the moon and stars, you're all hyped up that you've found the only game you'll ever need, and once you buy it, you find that the promised features were all smoke and mirrors, the developer secretly hates you, and you'll be miserable until you trade in the game and go back to weekend rentals of new products.
