Sometimes you see something remade into a movie that really shouldn't be. Whether it be a book, a video game, or a comic book, not everything should be made for the silver screen.

So now I ask what YOU would want to have made into a feature length movie. Any medium or event; it's you decision. Personally, I would love to see Batman: The Killing Joke get made into a film.

I'd like to see the album "Razia's Shadow" become a film. Its soon to be on Broadway (already is maybe? I'm not sure at the moment), but I want to see a full film version.

I feel like my favourite series growing up , Lost years of Merlin and Deltora Quest would each make some pretty awesome fantasy movies.

Anansi Boys, with the possible exception that it really SHOULD because Neil usually has creative control, and therefore it'll be delivered with awesome. C'mon blokes! Wine, women, and song! (And a lime.)

Jak and Daxter, that would be pretty awesome since it has the most cutsceans in a game...well Jak 2 for example...that was awesome.

Diablo 2

In my circle of friends we have cast this movie many times, and even considered shooting our own movie (budget does not allow however). The story line to the game is short enough that it could easily be made into a 2 hour feature.

The Silmarillion. It would be one long-ass mythology movie but it would be awesome.

The Night Angel trilogy. If they followed the books to the letter and cast it extremely well it would be the best series of movies of all time.

A Mass Effect movie would be pretty awesome. But I guess they would inevitably fuck it up by giving the directors seat to Uwe Boll or something.

American McGee's Alice was going to made into a move, but as usual, it fell through.

Is anybody actually that stupid anymore?
Particularly given ME's massively good reputation? personally i'd be more worried about them trying to make the games themselves into films -thus obliterating the point of a custom main character- rather than say, the Contact War, or other events which precede the games..

Killing Joke would be a sick freaking movie. I'd see it multiple times. To stick with DC comics, I'd love to see a Justice League movie series. DC and Warner Brothers may try to slap together something like that in time for the first Avengers release but I don't expect anything at all. Even if they did a JLA flick it would probably be Batman heavy.

Silent Hill 2, the "movie" doesn't exist.

Jade Empire could make a kick ass kung-fu film.

I'd also like to see a good movie based on The Wolfen. The book would be amazing if not for a few pointless parts, the movie that was made based on it was complete trash.

Yeah, despite its potential as a film it would be extremely easy to ruin, especially for a film adaption of a game. Probably best to just not do it.

Anyways I reckon Metro 2033, and maybe some sort of Warcraft film.

Personally I'm mostly against the idea of game-film adaptions. (Name three so far that didn't fucking suck.) And RPG's, due to being heavily influenced by the player, would obviously be severely limited, like the player character would likely instead be made into a really shitty generic one dimensional character, among many other negative things which would happen.

I can't even name one... Unless you count the first Mortal Kombat movie. It was cheesy as hell, but at least it was entertaining.

First and foremost, I want at least one Warhammer 40,000 film. The Ultramarines film is exactly that, a film about the Ultrasmurfs, but I want a film that captures the setting as whole. A line of Guardsmen holding off against a sea of Tyranids, a Harlequin dancing through Bloodletters, an Imperial and Chaos fleet obliterating each other, Space Marines and Orks carving the other side into pieces; these images and more are the types of things that I want to see on a big screen. It will never happen, but I'm not exactly known for realistic expectations.

Secondly, a series of Touhou films, one for each game. Not so much because I personally want to see it, but because by themselves the fans have created multitudes of gorgeous pieces and I can't help but wonder what they could create if they had a budget behind them. See for yourself:

To me that seems a bit redundant, as it's already a fairly cinematic game that takes a lot of its inspiration from film/television. It'd be like making a movie out of, I don't know, Uncharted.

Also, since I don't want to repeat myself, this time I'll go with Brom's two books, The Plucker and Devil's Rose.

If you've never heard of The Plucker (and it's probably fairly safe to assume you haven't) it's a short, illustrated story by fairly renowned fantasy and horror artist Brom. It's somewhat similar to Toy Story in basic concept, if the toys were occasionally brutally murdered and re-purposed as demonic decorations. Could make for a good, mature animated film.

Devil's Rose follows the story of an undead gunslinger, sent from hell to track down escaping souls and bring them back.

The thing about both stories is that they're quite well written, while still being compressed enough to fairly easily transfer into a screen-play.

A faithful adaptation of Starship Troopers.

It would be both philosophical and action-packed.
