So much potential in that game. I've been exploring remaking it myself but it turns out I can't code, map, animate, model or texture. So I kind of gave up on that.

SHADOWRUN! An rpg this time please. BIOWARE,BETHESDA, or to a lesser extent Obsidian, I'm looking at you!

Have you played the SNES version? I'm not sure if you're saying you'd like there to be a RPG Shadowrun (which the SNES version is) or if you're saying you'd like that remaking.

Oh damn, a full on SHADOWRUN RPG would be fucking awesome! It would have to focus on a far more adult setting than the original but man it could be quite amazing if done right.

Legend of Dragoon.

It could use a good HD version. It was really kinda ugly even back in the day, but it could be pretty awesome if made pretty.

Rogue Squadron could be a great series. That or Star Fox. Flying games basically don't exist on the market these days, but I know they could.

I would kill for a new Mech Assault or Mech Warrior too. I bet you could easily sell a new Mech Warrior to todays multiplayer hungry crowd.

Mechwarrior 1-3 was awesome. If someone remade these with better graphics and a little more gameplay added in, it'd become popular in an instant.

{2} Okay, now MediEvil actually DID get a reboot for PSP (MediEvil Resurrection), but what I want to see is the second game get one as well.

OT: I'd be up for remakes of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.

It really is no more than a rumor, but still I'm not sure how to feel about remaking Bungie's crown jewel. Classic games are classic for a reason. I want to see remakes of games that, in my opinion, didn't get enough credit when they were released.

Games should not be remade just to get a "shiny graphics update" as a few users are suggesting in this thread.

Better graphics do not = a better game necessarily.

In fact didn't people hate the ff4 remake for the DS?

Anyway, my point is a game should be remade in order to add features that improve the game as a whole, or to add possible new content.

The Perfect Dark Remake for the XBLA is a good example of this - Yes it had better graphics, but those graphics made sense. In the n64 version the game lagged a lot, and couldn't handle the graphics and all the action screen, dramatically dropping the FPS at times. It also added Online Multiplayer support, Achievements, Awards, and other cool features.

My point is if graphics are to be changed they should have a reason for doing so, and if they add on other features, it should be for a reason as well. Whether they decide to keep the game essentially the same or completely change it, there should be a reason. Something beyond "Because we can" or "Let's cash in on its prior success".

Sometimes a game's graphics can lend to it's overall feel and charm, and upgrading it can make it lose those things.
