They should remake that one game that was on the PS, it was about this samurai guy (really short) with blue hair, cant remember the name, it was lots of fun
Brave Fencer Musashi is what you're looking for. There was a sequel but I never played it and can't for the life of me remember the title or the system it was on.
Thank you, yes I played it on the PS when I was a kid, it might have been just a demo but I LOVED it!!! Also they need to remake that game about the pigs, you know you play as a Caveman or something and your land is invaded by pigs (i never played it but it looked awesome, it was for the PS)

Goldeneye 007
Final Fantasy 7 (Just to make them shut up)
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
definitely 007 but not on the Wii, it'd be shit then, and NO FF7, frigging game is overrated
Did you even red what I posted?
Also, it seems like you are just saying "YOUR OPINION IS BAD BECAUSE I SAY T WOULD BE BAD!"
Yes I did (and wasn't 007 made by rare? (when i sat 007 Im referring to Goldeneye) so I dont think there could be a remake) and what was so good about FF7? other then that it was the first 3D FF
There could be a remake on 360, cause I think that Rare is owned by Microsoft.
And I said FF7 just to shut up the raving fans, I don't like Final Fantasy
Well I read that but if any fan boy read MY post then i could do....something about their fanboyism, nothing against you

Any good game on any older console that I either don't have, or have and is broken. Why would I want a remake of a game I can still play?

Seeing as FFVII is one of the most popular games of all time I guess it makes sense that it is a good game. See, when people pick it up today I really don't think they are still impressed by the fact that it is a 3D Final Fantasy...So I'm guessing people like the characters and the story (ya know...the things that Final Fantasy's excel at?) So...Why do you think it is overrated other than the fact that a lot of people like it? (It isn't conforming to think something is good, ya dig?)
I think it is overrated because it is a bad game IMO, and it is critically acclaimed and it has one of the worst fanbases EVER.
And I don't like it for multiple reasons, keep in mind that this is all MY opinion, so don't flame me over MY opinion, OTHERS don't change MY opinion
1)Unlikeable Cast
2)I'm not much of a fan of turn based RPG, such as Final Fantasy, I do however, like turn based like Disgaea
3)Boring Plot

The Soul Reaver games. How I would love to see Nosgoth and its inhabitants in modern-day graphics... *sigh*
As much as I would love that being a fan since Blood Omen, I think remakes are more or less a waste of time when something new could be made.
I agree, mainly because (although Blood Omen 2 was frankly dire), Legacy of Kain: Defiance brought all the threads from all the other games together so perfectly (Raziel's speech to Kain right at the end is freakin' awesome) and left it on a cliff hanger. We need a new game in the series.

As for the FFVII remake, I'd prefer to see the final game in the compilation be in the style of the original, standard FF gameplay, full blow world map, etc. Because, plot wise I have the theory that:

*************************************SPOILER ALERT*******************************************

The story will once again feature Cloud as the main character, but the party will be caught up in a war between the newly awakened (and potentially near-deified) Genesis from the end of Dirge of Cerberus (otherwise why introduce him at the last second in one game and then go to the effort of writing his backstory into the canon in the prequel) and essentially a tide of metamorphosing Sephiroths. Think about it: Sephiroth still wants to essentially destroy the planet, but he can only manifest through the remaining Sephiroth clones, or possibly someone with geostigma if they survive long enough. So potentially, they could begin to form an army. However, Genesis has been lying in state in deepground for a good few years, which traditionally makes someone more powerful when they awake. Plus, he is similiarly enhanced thanks to the G project, and has managed to survive degrading like everyone else from that project. Genesis most likely still sees himself as defender of the planet, as he is likely still obsessed with the Goddess, who appears to be tied to the lifestream and the fate of the planet. So, we have someone nearly as powerful as Sephiroth who has since then undergone one of the classic stages of apotheosis, thereby deifying him and making him likely more than Sephiroth's match. He also has Weiss, who may or may not survive to be a worthy ally. Sephiroth in his either recurring or multiple incarnations will be opposed, trying to destroy the world. In between these two blindly obsessed factions will be Cloud, less poweful than either, but still twice mako poisoned, jenova augmented, and witha determination that gives him a strength not to be underestimated. Also, cloud has friends, whereas Genesis would work near-alone and Seph would have no allies but himself, and each incarnation would share the same arrogance and lack of foresight that have led him to be defeated be a weaker opponent 2 times now.

So, as a basic premise, they have to groundings for something pretty darned epic right there. I'd prefer to see that, thereby justifying the horrors of 'Dirge', rather than a remake that will probably change areas of the story and ruin the charm of the game. Well, just so long as they don't make Vincent damn-near-freaking-godly again. Seriously, if he was that powerful, why couldn't he have destroyed Sephiroth in that final battle single handedly? And why did Cloud need to defeat Bahamut Sin in Advent Children. Vincent in Dirge of Cerberus was just epic continuity fail.

******************************END SPOILER***************************************************

Silent Hill 2
A classic, but could use better voice acting, slightly better dialogue (for Eddie at least) and maybe an improved control system, so its more accessible to those deprived of Silent Hill, and get to experience it.
This... but if they change a damn thing in the script, people would flip a shit. People including me. On second thought, no, just don't.

Please don't, Konami.

However, a Resident Evil 2 remake + good graphics and a mobile camera - tank controls = a great idea. Get on that, Capcom.
If they remake Resi 2 they better darned well stick with the original fixed camera and controls. The over the shoulder camera is what has taken all the horror out of the resi series. Not gonna go into depth again (I rant about this too much), but it removes the ability of the designer to dictate exactly what the player sees and feels in the manner of a movie. If the need to remake any resi games with a different control scheme it would be remaking 4 and 5 with the original controls and cameras (or more like that in Code: Veronica, where it was semi-fixed). A remake with Resi 2 would be great, but survival horror please, non of this 'action horror'(more like 'survival action' to be honest) nonsense thanks.

No remakes "need" to happen, if they're good enough for a remake, surely that's proof enough they don't need a remake. I don't understand the games industry's/Hollywood's obsession with remakes, do people re-write books? No. So why films and games.

As both a Silent Hill and RE fan, I can honestly say I thought there were some points in RE4 that were extraordinarily tense and frightening (Garrador claw guys, anyone?). Maybe not RE5, but that was more due to the whole partner thing than the camera angles. I loved RE2, but it was frustrating, not scary, to run into a wall for five minutes just because you're trying to change directions. If you need a fixed camera and awful controls to create tension, you're not doing it right. Yeah, I said it, and I'll happily stand by my opinion.

OH WAIT- THEY ARE!!

Also, Marathon.
I agree, marathon needs a reboot, although it still is fun to play. I hope thats what bungie is going to do after Reach.
They could totally make a dark reboot of the first one, add atmosphere (Or remove it, it's in space), and sell for $50. Not to mention, they'd attract a whole new set of customers who normally hate on Halo.

But they won't, because they still love halo...
\pessimism.

Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere brought the series from a purely arcade set-up to having an interesting storyline, characters, and animated cutscenes at a time when the world was still pretty unused to seeing them.

All of this was gutted for the American release, which contained little more than the missions themselves and nothing significant holding them together, and none of the beautiful cutscenes that helped make Shattered Skies so memorable on the PS2. This should really be set right- the setting and story of Electrosphere, done on current-gen technology, would be truly breathtaking.

Heck, the first two games could stand to see some polish, if only to integrate them more certainly into the much more defined world and timeline that have coalesced since the series' beginning. And it would settle a lot of bets about just what the heck is up with 'Kei Nagase,' apparent time-traveller/clone soldier.

They need to remake Armed and Dangerous. It would give Lucas Arts a reason to strafe away from Star Wars for 2 seconds, and it has so much creative potential. Remember the shark cannon? They could easily put in something insane like a gun that shoots Velociraptors or a land mine that turns enemies into Wendy's burgers!

Kid Icarus.
Ghosts and Ghouls
Eternal Darkness
Iceclimbers

All of them need a lot of heart and thought and be FREAKIn made. Or is everyone too afraid of making A SHIT LOAD OF MONEY!?

Instead of going with a game that was really well done the first time and thus doesn't really need a remake, I'm going to go with Red Ninja. Great concept, character and story but it was left hanging by at times poor gameplay. Someone really needs to redo this like it should be done (Team Ninja could possibly do a killer job with it).

You know, I will always be confused why the success of Freelancer wasn't followed up by...anything.

I mean, there's X3, but that's about it.

I want more Freelancer!

Edit: Or a new Shadow Hearts game.

SNES to Remake; Blackthorn

It was made by Blizzard (back in the day), has those Blizzard orks, and was like Oddworld with balls, and a shotgun. This remake would only be worthwhile in 2d, since 3d incarnations would be any other platformer/cover system game with guns.

PS1 to Remake; Final Fantasy 7
It's the internets most demanded remake, and I want it now. :)

Sonic The Hedgehog

NES to Remake; Metal Gear, and Metal Gear; Snakes Revenge
The games that act as the support story for the MGS1 and games that followed, these two MGS games were only ever gone over with a text recap. Now that Snake is old, and his fate not noted for spoiler reasons, Kojima could pick up with Raiden, oooor do a remake of the first two games bringing them into modern graphics for todays generation to play, and finally have all the pieces of the New Haven plot.
May want to correct that to MSX2 to Remake: Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake.

The NES version of Metal Gear was a poorly ported version. It didn't even have a fight with an actual Metal Gear included. The original MSX2 version did however.

Snake's Revenge was a non-canon game with no involvment from Kojima. MG2: Solid Snake was the true sequel.
I'm not really concerned about semantics. If Kojima were to do a remake of Snakes rookie years, I'm pretty sure he'd get it as right as it's going to get.
