The Soul Reaver games. How I would love to see Nosgoth and its inhabitants in modern-day graphics... *sigh*
yea me too!

Hopefully with the awesome voice acting.

However i think that the company that made those games went bust :(
The first time I played Soul Reaver I only managed to get a German copy, which had an unbelievably annoying dub (Raziel sounded like 15-year-old, for crying out loud)... praise youtube for supplying me with the original cutscenes.
While the voice-acting in the entire Legacy of Kain series was always top notch, it's also one of the reasons why we're probably not going to see any more games from this particular franchise, because the guy who did the Elder God's iconic voice, Tony Jay, passed away a few years back.

And no, Crystal Dynamics haven't gone bust; they're the ones who took over the Tomb Raider franchise from Core Design and have been making all the games since Tomb Raider: Legend (a waste of their talent, if you ask me).
Crystal Dynamics used to be on Eidos's payroll, but since Eidos were swallowed up last year, CD are now a subsidiary of Square Enix.

A few more from my Amiga gaming days...

Magic Pockets
Desert Strike
Cannon Fodder

Any of the old LucasArts adventure games, Beneath a Steel Sky for example without the need to change discs every two minutes. Seriously did any Amiga games have more floppy discs than BaSS?

Star Wars Battlefront 2.

There needs to be a remake, or sequal.

NAO!
Developer went under (Pandemic), good luck with that...Although a new X-Wing wouldn't go amiss.

WHAT!? They've been making PSP games! This saddens even I... Star Wars Battlefront was a great series. Sure the controls were laughable, but it was still a good game. I've been wondering why Battlefront III hadn't been released.

Metal Gear Solid 1, Morrowind, System Shock 2... take your pick

Completely agree about Morrowind. I just can't enjoy it anymore, Oblivion spoiled me

Shadow of the Colossus.
Both those games are good as they are? Why remake them aside from "teh best grpchix evar?1!"
Largely because I would like to see them with said "best grpchix evar". I never said they needed to be changed. In fact, they could keep everything exactly as is, i.e. no voice acting in FFIX and whatnot, and just improve the graphics, and I'd buy them. These are [robably the only two games in existence I would do this for. Plus it would be cool to play SotC with a steady framerate. It doesn't bother me too much, but it wouldn't bother me to see it fixed either.

Silent Hill 2
A classic, but could use better voice acting, slightly better dialogue (for Eddie at least) and maybe an improved control system, so its more accessible to those deprived of Silent Hill, and get to experience it.
This... but if they change a damn thing in the script, people would flip a shit. People including me. On second thought, no, just don't.

Please don't, Konami.

However, a Resident Evil 2 remake + good graphics and a mobile camera - tank controls = a great idea. Get on that, Capcom.
Ehhh, I disagree. A lot about Eddie just seems a bit silly... Angela's lean toward multiple personalities also seems a bit obvious, and in need of more subtlety. I'm sure purists would despise any changes, but it'd be silly to say that everything is 100% perfect about the story.

I wouldn't mind seeing a modern-day remake of Chrono Cross with orchestral renditions of the OST, top-of-the-line graphics, deeper characters, improvements to the storytelling that make figuring out where to go next not such a pain in the ass, and an ending that doesn't suck so hard.

Considering how much I loved that game, a remake that met the conditions outlined above would almost make it perfect.
