So there's this game coming out soon. It's called Remember Me.
You might have seen it mentioned in some of the recent Jimquisition videos. It seems to be going a little under the radar, without much in the way of promotion. I very much doubt it will sell well.
Rather than describe it, I'll just link some trailers and previews:
I find myself ambivalent. I like the the setting, visuals and music. The premise is kinda cool and the combat looks to be at least okay. The memory puzzles could have potential, so long as they're not all as obvious as the one in the preview.
On the other hand, the dialogue in that second trailer was, yeah... less than stellar. Whoever put "now the hunted becomes the hunter" in the script needs a good slappin'. Also, all that linear platforming. I've got nothing against linear games, hell, I often prefer them, but those scripted no-options climbing sequences just seem to be missing the point. Maybe it'll be like the new Tomb Raider with a mix of scripted climbs and open areas and they just put the scripted one in the trailer because it's prettier. Hey, a guy can hope.
Thoughts?
Does anyone know anything I don't?
