I know 3do went bankrupt its sad i know but when i looked over at my n64 collection first game i noticed "Army Men Sarges Heroes" Played it then played all my other army men games they were great and i felt like a kid (thats what toy soilders tryed to do)

Does anybody miss these games? Sarges heroes for the 64, Army men for the PC and who could forget army men for the ps2 and gamecube were plastic was your money! you could melt a ps2 in one mission!

Nobody seems to mention this great classic series does anyboy remember it?

Sorry i dont dont know to embed videos if anyone could tell thatd be cool.

Listen to that theme! just great times. So fellow gamers escapists do you recall these great games? Do you still own them? or is there a good reason they went bankrupt?

I remember them very faintly. From what I recall, they were utterly terrible, and should never have been made. Especially with how many there were, I'm glad they've been stopped.

Fuck yeah!!

They were hella awesome. I had the Army Man From Space game (or whatever it was called - it had UFOs and Robots and stuff) with the little Sarge figurine in the box - that was some ballin' jamz back in the day.

Those were great! I didn't have any personally, but every time I went over to my friend's house we'd play his. The levels were pretty creative, too (my favorite was the sand castle).

Hell yeah! I don't own any of them anymore, but they were awesome. I played the crap out of those games as a child.

One of the best ideas ever.

I remember multi-player was quite fun with split-screen and melting everyone with a flamethrower was way more fun when they melted.

Original Army Men was the bomb
Sarge's Heroes was OK, liked it more as a kid
Liked me some air attack, but the original was my favorite...or air attack...no, original! Damn...

Good games stick in my memory, poor games don't. That's why I believe they were quite bad. After doing a quick search, it seems the series deteriorated in quality later on, and I only played the more recent games of the series, so that may be why I'm remembering them as bad.

The original Army Men games were awesome, back on PC. Isometric shooter pitting Green Army against Tan army in a crazy awesome and warped recreation of WWII.

Sorry for crappy image size, it's the only one with a working link I can find.

If only someone like GoodOldGames.com could find a way to secure the rights to those, it'd be awesome.

I loved Sarge's Heroes. The campaign had a pretty excellent story for an N64 game, and the level design was fantastic. Me, my brother, and the neighbor would play multiplayer on desk with the GBZRK code and SLGFST code to get all the guns and max ammo then go to it. There was few things more satisfying than aiming a mortar across map and landing the kill.

I remember Army Men RTS. Funny because they had it on the school computers and allowed us to play it once in a while. I remember the teams as well.

Team 1: Me and Alex
Team 2: Colin and Jesse
Team 3: Patrick and Pranav

Pat and Pranav would always have their asses kicked early leaving just me and Alex to duel against Jesse and Colin. It'd then usually play out with me destroying Jesse, only to be decimated by Colin's counter attack. However, Alex would then engage Colin's remaining forces while I made a new army. We won most of our games as I recall.

I used to play Army Men: Air Attack when I was younger. Man, was I ever hooked! I couldn't go for more than 2 days without playing it.

It was also the first game I played on the ps2, and I can say it as responsible for my love of gaming today.

Nice first post. Welcome to the Escapist.

OT: Yes. I remember the Army Men games.

I remember enjoying them quite a bit but not being very good at them. Oh well.

Good times are good times regardless.
