They dont make good shows anymore. Like Nickelodian in the 90's had great shows like Hey Arnold, Doug Funnie, Rocket Power, and Rocko's Modern Life. Now all they play is garbage like ICarly which isn't remotely funny
Cartoon Network's done the same thing..Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, that's all i can remember from back in the day but, o h wait got another one Tom and Jerry and the Looney Tunes but overprotective parent dont want "violent" cartoons on TV anymore so we cant laugh.

TV has too many reruns nowadays. Shows go for like 4 episodes, then they go into reruns for a month. When I was a kid, shows would go at LEAST 4 months without doing reruns.

Like Discovery channel: They absolutely PASTE their network with reruns. It's to the point that I can't even tell when a new show is ON. It also dilutes the product. Wish they'd chill on that. I love "Deadliest Catch", but not so much I want to see the old episodes 20 times in a week.

Ah, the discovery channel... laid down to rest by the fact that there just isnt that much to discover anymore. :D

I don't watch tv at all anymore.
The only show I watch on TV is the Office when it's new and new episodes of south park (if it doesn't get leaked onto the net beforehand)

I can't fucking stand commercials.
It breaks the atmosphere of the show when you start getting into it.
I'd rather wait till a show is up on the net the next day so I can strain my eyes, looking at a puny box of the show with sometimes crap A&V quality then suffer through car commercials and every other ad that doesn't appeal to me.

Just imagine, watching some kind of intense action scene and all of a sudden your staring at baby's asses in some diaper commercial.

Sorry for going off topic but to answer your question I guess Thursday is my favourite day to watch tv.

About the only day I really watch TV is Monday because Two and a Half Men is on... Other days, I can never find anything... they removed TV guide channel, and the TV guide that comes with the paper is never right... I miss my digital cable metal music channel... :/

Well, do you?

It appears that Friday has a special reserved seat for all the reality TV vote-off things now, I remember when it used to have Southpark and all kinds of funny stuff on.

Now, the only days I don't really watch TV on are Mondays and Fridays.

So, my question to you is what is your favourite day for TV? And what do you watch on this day?

Mine would have to be Thursday, with shows like The Daily Show, The Mentalist, Reaper and it used to have My Name is Earl and The Big Bang Theory(R.I.P.)... If they moved The Life & Times of Tim to Thursday it would be the best TV day hands down.

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it... Maybe Friday seemed so good because the other days didnt really have anyhing on. :D

Also, I could have totally put a "Poll" in here... Ah well. :D
:( All the good shows are dying out as it is. It's no good Jak!
Its most certainly is not good, and I wont stand for it.

*runs to nearest TV studio screaming TV-related profanity, sadly they saw him coming and locked the doors at the last moment.*

I wouldnt mind if they put 2 good shows in the line-up on Friday, but at the moment there is one okay one and that is "8 out of 10 cats" which is highly subjective to the guests they have on.
8 out of 10 Cats is good, Jimmy Carr is okay though! I'm trying to think if some other shows...we have Dude Where's My Car on one of the Five channels this Friday.

As a brit I threw my mind back and yes, I seem to remember friday night was comedy night, and both BBC2 and Ch4 had pretty much solid entertainment from 9pm til 11 or 12, and then something happened, and now we're lucky if there's an hour in an evening with all channels combined.

Bah, I say, in my best grumpy old man voice.

Still there's QI, the IT crowd, Mitchell & webb, and a few other highlights each week...

TV sucks nowadays, except for a few gems that sparkle through the crap.
I mean, they got rid of daily Scrubs for a dose of inane idiots talking about OTHER inane idiots stuck in a house.

Fuck you, Big Brother. Fuck you.

Fridays used to be awesome when I was a kid. Good Simpsons, Malcom in the Middle, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Science Shack . Now, I almost never watch TV unless it's Heroes (which is getting kinda bad, /fingerscrossed) or Big Bang Theory.

In recent years, Fridays used to mean a new Avatar: The Last Airbender, Danny Phantom, and Teen Titans...Since those shows got the axe, the only thing I have to look forward to on Fridays are WWE Smackdown!, if I don't catch the spoilers beforehand, and a new Star Wars: The Clone Wars...Which I now have to wait 'till fall for new episodes.

Other then that, Mondays and Tuesdays are my days...For WWE Raw, and ECW...Which I ALWAYS MOCK for not being as good then it was in the '90s.

Compared to the 90s', with cartoons like the Spiderman, and Batman, animated series...alongside Dexter's Lab, and, later on, Samurai Jack, cartoons have really been mixed these days...I mean there ARE gems in the sea of sewage, just not as much as yesteryear.
