Super Mario 64 for the... erm... Nintendo 64 :p (it couldn't be more obvious if it tried). Now that I look back on it, I don't think I could've started out on a better game... my dad had good taste in videogames :p

I was raised playing games before I could walk. Given I wasn't always "playing" them, but I always had the controller in hand. DUCK HUNT and SMB series were probably some of my first.

Oddly enough, my mom
Bwahaha, sorry, i don't know what you wrote after those 4 words but it can't be anywhere near as funny.

On topic: I remember getting something along the lines of a TV Boy when i was about 5 or 6 that came with like 70 or so games built in that are mostly just emulations of older games. My first 'proper' game would probably be Rascal for the Playstation, which i got before i actually got the console.

Pong. That's right, Pong.
You win the thread. Unless someone else can boast having played Space Wars! or some other such game before games were marketed.

If we're going with console games, Spyro the Dragon for the first PlayStation. If this is any game in particular, I think it was Pokemon Red for GameBoy. Or possibly Super Mario Land.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Megadrive.

Sonic's always had a special place in my heart because of it, even if Sega have gone and shit all over him in the past...well, many years.

Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt for NES around the age of 4 if I recall but I played Atari with no issues afterwards as far as being less graphical.

As I recall, it was Kirby's Dreamland 2 for the Gameboy. I loved that game. I still regret selling it...

First game I ever owned: Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt (it came with the system)
First game I ever bought: Dragon Warrior (the series is now called Dragon Quest, though it was always called that in Japan)
First game I ever rented: Ghostbusters for NES

Super Mario 64, fond memories =)

Seriously NO Mario game can compete with that one, Galaxy is shit in comparison to 64, and I haven't tried Sunshine yet but I was with a friend who played it and it doesn't seem as great as 64.
Have you played the supernintendo ones(my first games) They were addicting

The very first one I remember playing was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on the Nintendo back when I was 3 or 4 years old.
