In case some people here didn't realize, Yahtzee is not the only wit filled person on the internet and that depends if you even call Yahtzee witty. Unfortunately a lot of reviews now do sound like Yahtzee because people copy so much of what he says which is the English language. though I found your review to be better than a Yahtzee review, especially the stupid part with the bee hive.
Good, strong information backed by slight annoyances, all up, great review.

it's a game, it's not supposed to be realistic.
your review did point out some bad spots, but I think your asking to much from a simple game.
A lot of people these days rate games based solely on their realism, not that it's a good practice.

If you want to know why the shadow Jamaicans couldn't hurt Link, its for the same reason that they couldn't disintegrate Zelda, and Ganondorf didn't just fall over dead when he got a sword stuck through his stomach - he had a third of the triforce.
I thought it was magic?

Good review, but while we're on the tpic of Yahtzee's effect on reviews I'd say it's not needed. I've read many reviews off this site that sound nothing at all like Yahtzee. Take what he says and add it to your own isn't the best of moves. I've also read many reviews (namely one Alone in the Dark review) where they slip in a quote to sound clever but have no clue what it means. What is a clipping issue? They have no idea.

What does "a plot important Mcguffin" mean in the context of your review? I still don't understand what it means myself.

A bit ranty, but still a good review. I just sugest less Yahtzee coments and more of your own next time.

A good reveiw... Alltough I disagree in allmost every complaint of yours, but that's probably because we got entirely different gaming values. I think it's a great game, it's fun, epic and magical, but all in all great reveiw. At least you backed up your complaint with arguments.

The people I live with (family) bought a Wii and a friend recomened me this game and gave me a copy to borrow. I am a huge fan of OoT and MM. I loved those games and so far nothing has been able to do better then them, nothing. Not even Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess was a weak game, especially when compared to the two I mentioned previously. The plot was weak. "Saving the World" never made much sense in this game. Who is out to destroy the world? At some point it was the evil king of twilight but then Gannondorf just kinda slipped in, because it's a Zelda game and it needs Gannondorf. Well Majora Mask didn't have Gannon and it rocked. The equipment was also very weak. I found the fact that nearly 75% of the puzzles involve the grappling hook very annoying. But when the last dungeon (usually has the coolest equipment) turned out to be another damn grappling hook I was thrown into a fit! There where some cool things, like Bow Scope but that's completely useless seeing as how you have Z targeting to auto aim for you.

I also flt like saving the world (two in this game) was a complete chore. I never felt like running around the world to turn into a wolf to make a portal to become human again had anything to do with the plot. It felt like a way to extend the plot without giving any real content. The great thing with OoT and MM is that you always felt like you we're saving the world but in TP it always seemed like you were fighting shadow monsters that had no relevance to the threat of the world. The actual twilight realm didn't make much sense either, why where they trying to destroy the normal world? Why did I turn into a wolf, when in previous Zelda games he turns into a Rabbit... why does he turn into a wolf to begin with??? There where too many plot holes and things that didn't feel like the matter throughout the game that eventually destroyed the imersion between myself and the characters and events in the game. I had no idea what was going on so I stopped caring.

The controls where okay but they never felt like an actual dual which I would have liked. The one good thing was the boss battles, but they only make up a small part of the game.

Sorry for ranting a bit but I was planning on writing a review for this game. I suppose I was just to slow. Good review.

It's because it's a GC game with wiggle controls duct taped over the top. if you play it as the previous-gen game that it truly should be regarded as, it's technical, graphical and control-related faults seem less dissapointing

Like a few others have said, check out some of the earlier titles (especially N64 & Gameboy ones) and I think you'll have a good time.

I can see why some of the logic would seem pretty obscure to someone new to the series.

I'd agree, you'd probably get more out of the older games than out of this one. TP struck me as for only nostalgia purposes. It was a fun game, yes, but nothing extravagent and life-changing (unlike OoT, which at the time was freaking EPIC).

I'd recommend OoT and MM, though I find that many people don't beat MM for some reason. I've heard it's apparently harder, but I had no problems. I think my friends are just morons...

Not a bad review on the whole actually. Not sure I totally agree on all your points but that's more my personal preference in a game rather than a fault in your review.

One point though, toss in a picture here and there to break it up and liven it up. Gives it a bit more colour :)

Twilight Princess is a Gamecube Game - the Wii version is horribly flawed.

You need to play the Gamecube version to experience the real deal. Plus, if one more retarded little brat tries to tell me Link's holding his sword in the "wrong hand" on Smash Bros. I will rip their balls off.

well, not a bad review and all that, except your complaints about the story being just something white and black, the Zelda game never were, are, and possibly will not be about complex final fantasy esque storylines or gritty the witcher stuff for example.

i have fun with this game my only complaint is that ganondorf appearing in the end felt unnecesary, but the swordfight was cool.

i really wish to try wind waker someday.

ah and also, i think that majoras mask was a good game, the enviroment was colorouful, and it felt alive, really well designed, but i simply didnt liked much, having the pressure of the time limit and all that.

A decent review. I have to say, though, if you don't like this, you will hate most Zelda games. They're all pretty much identical. If you can, download Ocarina of Time, since you have a Wii that is probably doing nothing but gaining dust.
