I know why the military is doing this. Because many people in the cities don't want to join the military. It's gotten less popular with people on the coast, and really many who join it are white males from rural areas, immigrants who aren't woke, or people who want to escape their homes.

I am in the second category somewhat, but I am going to college instead.

As for Dan Crenshaw, he's losing as rural areas are getting less competitive, and also as neoliberals, and liberals will continue squeezing those areas economically. Crenshaw if you don't want that maybe you should have support rural broadband in the Biden infrastructure plan, but nope we can't let liberals do good things so that they don't get a reward in the future with a possible election win in 2024.

If the Republican party were competent they would have forced the democrats to invest more in the rural areas, but nope let rich people on the coast take everything, and let them ship your constituents jobs overseas.

Does someone want to want to tell Crenshaw that the average US service member doesn't even see combat(a vast majority are support roles, with some variation depending on service), let along swing a battleaxe at the oncoming enemy hordges? Because I think his time in the SEALS has blinded him to the fact that going in and cutting enemy throats was an experience far removed from most people and that a lot of people who join up either did so for the job security, government paid for job training or the college money, not Murica.

Also, I'm not even sure "Woke" has a meaning at this point, because it's becoming the Right's favorite insult of choice that seems to be applied to anything they don't like.
