Hey guys, Pandah dropping in with another topic, unfortunately I can't really think of anything too great at the moment, but since I just recently started playing Zelda:Ocarina of Time again, I figured I'd make a topic dedicated to some old games we all go back to playing.(ends run on sentence)

So as I've said, I just started playing Zelda again on the N64, and its still as awesome as it ever was. My only gripe though is that the N64 controller stick freakin hurts my thumb after a while. I never remember this as a kid, but now playing it again, OUCH! I don't know how I could've sat in front of the TV hours on end using that controller.

I'm also playing Winback as well, The controls are a bit clunky, but its still as great as I remember it. I can still hum along with the music from it too =P This is the Winback on the N64 as well, not the PS2.

So what games are you guys/gals replaying nowadays?

*This is mostly due to me having to send out my 360 that didn't red ring...just had video display problems Q_Q*

I'm going through Deus Ex 1 and System Shock 2.
I remember playing Deus Ex 1. I was getting really into it, but I had rented it and had to return it =/ I've never played System Shock 2 though, I always hear how great it is. I really need to get around to it.

A while ago I started playing Rockman X4. Took me a while to find again but I did it. Started it up, and on came nostalgia.

However, I didn't recall the levels themselves being THAT easy. I always remembered me dying a lot in this game, but it was just so easy I couldn't imagine that I was this bad it.

Then, when I neared the end of the level, I remembered why I spent this much time on the game: The bossfights are just so. damn. difficult. Take the 'Cyber Peacock' for example: Homing feathers for which you need a Jet Li degree of skill to dodge. It was just so insane.

You should definitely give it a whirl. There's a reason you always hear how great it is.

Sounds like a typical Mega Man game. I purchased Mega Man 9 recently and god damn, if I make it through the levels, I just get screwed over by the bosses. (I think Rockman is Mega Man, correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, you're right =P I'll have to see if I know anyone who has it or where I could purchase it. Perhaps Good Ol'e Games.com has it...

I can't get tired of Doom ! I still have so much fun playing this one.

Also, with a friend we love to play Crash Team Racing, the best Mario-Kart like we've ever played !

I bought the original Half-Life yesterday and I'm playing through that when I'm bored. Also I'm playing through Starcraft for the third time.

And I wanted to ask if System Shock 2 is really that good and if I should buy it?

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and Icewind Dale 1 and 2...over and over and over again.

Also, Diablo 2 has huge replayability for me.

I had a phase of playing Metroid Zero Mission through and through constantly. I regularly have a round on my N64 though.

I have it, but never sat down to actually play it. I turned it on and said "Cool" and then I popped in Super Mario RPG. I was actually going to start playing it again, but then I realized I let my girlfriend borrow it. Blah.

I remember Crash Team Racing! That game was amazing! I have Doom on my 360 as well, so as of right now...I can't relive it >_< I have the CDs for the computer, but it takes some tinkering to get them to read properly in computers nowadays and I just don't bother.

If everyone on here says System Shock 2 is that good...I'd say, yeah, buy it.

I never actually played through the entire first Half-Life sadly, but I still play 2 from time to time.

Yes. And you should buy it.

Another game I'll recommend after playing (again) is Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Had a lot of fun with that game.

Chrono Trigger, with its infinite amount of replayability. I pick it up again and again throughout the tests of time.

I did replay Twilight Princess since I got it. It isn't technically old yet, but it is replayable if you get the strategy guide. Though getting all of the poes really feels like a waste of time once you actually accomplish it.

Way of the Samurai (the first!) is a fantastic game to replay, since the overall plots in it are easily forgettable and the game play is easy to get into.

Legend of Dragoon.
*at age 10*
Rose is cool!
*at age 17*
Rose is a 11,000 year-old dominatrix slut. Interesting how I missed that as a child.

I found that I far preferred Thief to System Shock 2. SS2's horror trappings tended to annoy me rather than frighten me. When you know that being caught would be lethal to your character, the enemies are far more intimidating no matter what they look or sound like IMO.

To keep the thread on-topic, I've replayed Thief and Thief 2 maybe 3-4 times, Planescape: Torment ~8 times, Devil May Cry 3 twice from a new file through DMD mode, Arcanum several times, Zelda: OOT and Majora's Mask several times each, and Baldur's Gate 1+2 several times each. Those are the ones that immediately spring to mind; right now I'm going through Chrono Cross again now that I have an actual Playstation to play it on.

Jagged Alliance 2, Alpha Centauri and Hearts of Iron 2; because some games just never get old; and some games always have lots more amazing mods to offer everytime you come back to it.
