I wouldn't be surprised if:
a) Its a controlled leak. Trying to pull off "an apple", if you know what I mean.
b) Crytek finds out through Escapist about this.

Tell me about it.
This is terrible.
Dead Rising 2 was leaked 5 days before release, and cracked THREE days before release.
Gaming seems to be dying.

Flood the torrent sites with convincing fakes while there is still time. That should lessen the damage slightly.

It looks like a Crytek Employee really wanted to release a PC demo....

They are going to release a PC demo [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/107361-Crysis-2-Demo-Coming-to-PC]. So it looks more like a Crytek employee really wanted to be a complete and utter dick-bag.

Fuck pirates. I really like Crysis, and their games tend to sell disproportionally to how much effort and time they put into them. I haven't bought a game since last year, and this will be the first. Day one, on 360. I hope whoever did this loses his fucking job.

I meant a proper demo. One that actually has a bit of campaign in..

...And there goes the PC-version of Crysis 3 out the window.

This is just wrong, 50 frikkin' days before launch. Talk about day-0 piracy.

Note to PC gamers: this is why no-one makes games for you anymore.
This has nothing to do with PC gamers, so don't be blaming them.

A leak like this can only come from a build being stolen from the development studio, a inside job. Chances are this was done by one of Crytek's own.

to every one saying this is why people dont make games on the PC any more or they should pull the PC release. just because a PC version got leaked ? would you be saying the same thing even if a xbox version got leaked i mean really calm down just because it got leaked doesn't mean people wont buy it imo

EA's already on damage control, been on Youtube looking to see some of this leaked footage, found some about 15 mins ago, been locked down now due to copyright from EA.

Honestly this is horrible, I feel bad for Crytek and the Crysis franchise in general. This is a bad day for legitimate PC gamers.

On the brighter side of things, who knows, maby they'll push for an earlier launch date to compensate for people too lazy to wait.

Theres no point blaming pirates on the pc for this. Blame the idiot who leaked it in the first place. We all know the game would be pirated eventually.
And they shouldnt punish the pc users by pulling the game on the pc as its not our fault, its there own incompetant security mesures thay got it leaked so early.
Im sure people have already paid for it on steam or like me have it pre-ordered from shops so it wouldnt be fair to us to pull it.

I feel really bad for them.

I just hope consumers look at this mistake and back away from any offers of the free game.

They took down the demo yet they have a completely finished version of the game just siting around?

That's such bullshit. Everyone knows they removed the demo because it was shitty. I bet this leak will keep a lot of people from pre ordering, if the demo didn't already scare them away.

Ignorance of a bad game is the only way to get preorders. This might utterly wreck them.

Not that I care though.
