Tell that to people who have lung cancer, tell them that kids who play M rated video games have it worse than them, go ahead
The problem is that yes, I will concede that kids shouldn't be playing violent video games, but you know what, it isn't the game's fault that the kids are playing them, it's the PARENTS FUCKING FAULT!
There are CLEAR markings on games that give it a rating based on it's content, an explination of what ratings mean, and why the game give the rating, plus more info on their site if I'm not mistaken. Kids who play M games play so because their parents let them play them. 10 year olds can't BUY M games, so any 10 year old playing means the parents let them start playing them. If they don't like it, don't buy them the games. Or if the parents would actually EXPLAIN that it's not real and these things aren't acceptable in real life, maybe there'd be less violence in RL...
It's not games that are the problem, its people who would rather place blame on others rather than take responsibility for their mistakes.
Edit: Who thinks that Natal having you act things out will be a bad idea in the long run? Since in any new Natal FPS you hold a gun like you would in real life, while nowadays we hold controllers and move by pushing sticks and shooting and other things with buttons and not controllers...anyone else think Natal will start a "natal lets kids hold guns so ban video games" movement from in-informed pricks like Micheal Atkinson?
