Turtle Rock founder Michael Booth announced today that Evolve 2 will begin production and that plans for pre-order DLC, monthly DLC and season passes are already being thought up of.
"I know that the first in the Evolve franchise was just released but we spent so much money on the game's advertisement campaign and post-launch DLC that we had to make a second game just to break even. We really want to thank the Evolve community for supporting our shenanigans; without you, your money would still be in your wallet and not helping the gaming industry the chance to make new and creative titles like this."
When asked whether or not this move could possibly alienate new customers, Booth went on a tangent.
"Let me make this clear; if you don't like DLC, you're a terrorist who hates freedom and is probably one of those guys who owns fedoras and harasses women on the internet. Also, you're a virgin who'll never ever get laid. Buy our f**king game or we'll delete the source code for Left 4 Dead 3" said Booth.
Co-founder Phil Robb also gave TACO News a look into how the sequel would encompass every entertainment medium possible
"Weapon packs, skins, new characters, a 'funny' expansion, motion controls, a handheld version, micro-transactions, mobile apps, books, movies and other numerous plans are going to help make this a bigger, badder-er sequel. It'd be having more and more content rather than any real core gameplay changes or a possible narrative experience. Multiplayer is the key to the future and we at Turtle Rock want to be innovators in that future" said Robb.
Look for Evolve 2 to get a multiple delayed release schedule to leak sometime Q3 2015
