Ah good, i was hoping someone would make this thread, just so i could show off my unbelievable wit and comical talent that truly raises me above that of normal people.

Of course they do, just like us Brits who ride pigeons and our Welsh friends who ride sheep...wait no! Not like that!!!

Yes, that's right.
I started my Escapism with some casual racism against the Welsh.

I Bought it for PC, I bought it cuz i was in a game drought and i wanted to see what the hype was about. Then i found out my computer needed a Dual-Core Proccessor... So i bought one about two or three weeks later but didnt install it until probably the fifth or sixth week...By then i was back into WoW after a year long break and playing Catacalysm. Once i got it installed i played Campaign and it was a bit interesting. After a while, though, i was wondering when the game ends, and after i beat the game i felt like there wasnt enough! I went back to WoW without going to multiplayer...

This was pretty much Exactly one year ago, it was a Poll asking if you played CoD Black Ops. In my opinion, it was a waste of $60, but it at least prompted me to buy a dual core processor.

It would sell better if it had a better launch title selection. Even playing DS games on it is a pain because the upscaling emulation is blurry with faded colors and the basic resolution is half the already small screen. I liked my XL better to be honest; decent battery with ALL of the features and a screen I didn't need to squint at with a magnifying glass. God I hope this doesn't go the way of the GBA Micro. I liked that little system, the high resolution screen was good but it had nothing else going for it besides extreme portability. Anyhow, give it some time to gets it's big three on (Metroid,Mario,Zelda) then it will be worth it, I hope.

I don't think I've played a game older than me since I was a kid. It was probably Duck Hunt / Super Mario Brothers on the NES in the mid 90's though.

The laughing dog still haunts my dreams...

Used to play it multiplayer with my little brother, would cheat by getting a second controller and making the birds fly erratically while he tried to shoot. It's probably for that reason that he never really got into games... actually feeling a little guilty now.

5 maps for 10 quid - yeah 2 of them are old maps but not everyone out there will have the original. Personally I reckon 2 quid a map isn't all that extortionate - can't even buy a pint for 2 quid anymore in the nanny-state that is the U.K.

In closing: I've bought it, and it's entertaining.

My first post was in defence of the first MW2 map pack. Well that was an auspicious start to life on these forums... /sarcasm

And I still maintain that it's better to spend £2 on a map you'll be playing for months than a beverage that's gone in a few gulps. Gaming may seem expensive to some people, but try comparing it to real world prices. £30 a year for XBL membership seems excessive until you lay it alongside the £25 a month cost of unlimited broadband, for example.

Y'know what, I'm not even gonna get started on this one again.

About a week ago I got called a "Nanny Goat". I feel your confusion yo.

Although the guy who called me a nanny goat then said "Wait...you're no nanny goat, you're beautiful". So to be honest I really don't know what to think about the whole thing.

In Mass Effect 2, I named my character Ernie. It was pretty funny when a guy with the name of a Sesame Street character was threatening to splatter several different flavors of brains over a wide variety of surfaces during the course of the game's conversations.

It was in a thread about what you name your characters in games that give you that option.

Yes, I did actually talk that way back then. I thought it made me sound smart, when it actually made me sound a bit like a tool.

OMG this is just way to funny, I as of right now am reading the final book or a series by Jim Butcher, the premise? "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LOST ROMAN LEGION?" just like this, only BETTER, this series, "The Codex Alera", is basically a story of "what if that roman legion got sucked something like the Bermuda triangle? and came out in a new world? and had a thousand years to advance?" yeah i is absolutely sick, and if anyone here reads this and likes good fantasy novels you will definitely love these books.
