Hi, new Escapist here, and, uh...

Well, I wanted to upload an Avatar, but since I'm a dunce with computers, I'm not exactly sure how... don't suppose anyone could tell me?

EDIT: Yes, I am temporarily using one of the site Avatars from the gaming selection.

If you click on the red button in White Lightning's avatar you will have control over everyone's avatar

Hi there.

Go to your profile page and under the section called profile settings, you will see the link to Change Avatar

In that section it will give you the option to upload an avatar to the Escapist.

Your avatar should be 75 x 75 and under 100kb in size.

Unless you upgrade to a Premium account, then you'll be able to have a 100 x 100 px avatar.

Edit: I'm not sure of what formats the Escapist supports but jpeg and gif are the most common.

Edit 2: Sorry I didn't see this post otherwise I would have saved the day earlier.

Edit 3: You can also have questions answered and custom avatars made at the The Avatar Store Group

Thank you for stepping in, but I understand that part. What I don't get is: when I have a picture in my sights, i.e. on Google Images, how do I find the URL so I can copy it into the text box and upload it to the Escapist? I'm messing around with that as we speak, so I may figure it out on my own...
