Request!! Name of a game

7-8 years ago I played some weird, but totally awesome, 2-D puzzle game
You played a wizard, who had to free people whilst dodging black knights.
The game was filled with different challenges, I.E. getting from A to B and saving all prisoners.
Also, you had the ability to destroy 'ground' diagonally under you O:

My problem is, I CANT REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE GAME >_<'
I've been desperately wanting to play it the last few years!
I was hoping one of you might know the name of this well made wizard-puzzle-thing

only wizard games I heard of was Harry Potter and Simon The Sorceror.

Nay, not really.

I can't remember much more than the above mentioned..
Except ... The wizard wore a blue robe with black dots, and a matching triangular hat

No idea of who produced it, and I have no excact date either, though it must be quite old

Well, I sorta' remember playing it when i was six ):
Which would be in 99', but i think it was released earlier

The mechanic of destroying the diagonal ground makes me think of Lode Runner. But that is a much older game. Any other details you can think of? Did your dude jump? Even something simple like drawing what you remember in MS paint and posting it might help people find the title.

There was no possibility of jumping, BUT, you could fall of edges, and magically (and temporarily) destroy blocks of ground.
I.E making a hole in the ground to escape/capture and kill the knight.

Thinking of it. The game was quite alike Lode Runner, except this was a puzzle game. There was an objective, like freeing the prisoners or getting from A to B.
Also there were obstacles and traps.

Yes, I'm absolutely sure.
The game I'm referring to is seen from the side, not from..."above"
