Love It hate it , and why. Personally I love it because 1. The inventory was unique and perfect. 2. Smarter/harder enemies, and the mercenaries mini game. 3. Makes a little more sense than the main series (Outbreak is Ok). I hate it because 1. A little more complicated. 2. CHAINSAW PEOPLY WHO COME AROUND THE SAME CORNER YOU GOING AROUND! 3. Kinda short.

I fucking love Resident Evil 4. It is just like a game I used to dream about in my youth.
I especially like the special gameplay modes and great story.
One thing I though a game would never get away with is Inverted feeling right, but it worked in this game.
The first time I saw a guy with a chainsaw I though exactly what Leon said. Thank God for the shotgun!

EDIT: I also love the inventory system, that is just perfect.

Resi 4 was great at the time, but Resi 5 didn't do enough to advance the formula.

It's a pretty fun game, but it really does lose some of the mood of the original 3 (I said mood, not CAMERA ANGLES, keep that in mind)

it was fun, exciting and Ashely's AI wasn't completely stupid.As a scary RE game I think it's failed but as a fun game it reached it's goal.

I agree that 5 was even less scary then 4 was, but I still maintain that 4 lacked the atmosphere of dread that permeated Resident Evil 1 and 2. Mind you, I'm still not saying it was bad, it was tons of fun. It just wasn't in the same genre as the ones before it (Mostly RE1 and 2, the others got progressively worse)

Game was fun, the inventory worked well, Ashley wasn't a moron (nice for an escort mission), and super enemies were genuinely creepy. Only gripe was that you became too powerful after a point unless you liked wasting ammo. After you got a decent amount of ammo for the shotgun, sniper, TMP, and a few grenades then almost nothing could take you on. Regenerators will always be creepy though (until you break out the Handcannon)

That Typewriter shredded everyting to splinters. That gun was so overpowerd that it wasn't really fun to shoot.

I really enjoyed Resident Evil 4, much more so than the other games in the series, although I did miss the horror from the originals, since evidently horror got dropped somewhere along the production line.

Still, it was fun and kept me entertained for quite a while.
