Actually Uroboros (spelled in an odd way) is from Norse Mythology, it's the world serpent that devours it's own tail. The one that Thor will slay during Ragnarok only to perish in a sea of it's venom.
Wasn't that snake called Jormugand (Spelled wrong I know) ??? I swear I've read about that in various books on Norse mythology (and games for that matter, who recalls "God Of Thunder"?)

The snake is named Jörmungandr. But uroboros is similar. It's also a snake that is drawn like a circle. and it's a symbol for something that's never-ending

Is it just me - or have more people mentioned Yahtzee's review than the OP's review on this thread?

Well done, wewontdie - it was a good review.

Yea I didn't really get that, how you come to an amateur review and go "Yea Yahtzee was right about this game!" and don't mention anything about the actual review in question.

And thanks, always nice to get feedback on reviews.

good review. this is one of the few games that i actually think is better to play with a friend than on your own. aside from the spastic ai, there are very few flaws i can think of. the inventory is a bit small but that just means that you have to be more strategic in what you pick up

Good review. Very solid, and accurate (RE5 = Action Game) I say, though I have to disagree about Sheva's AI. Maybe its because I have a PS3 copy (oh yeah, I just started a console war!) but I was very impressed by Sheva's AI - she never did any of that stupid stuff you describe. And my bullets go through her, so, even if she did stand in front of me, no big deal. Human shield and all. Though I will concede that on the hardest difficulty, which was essentially one hit dead (bad balancing, there, Capcom...) the AI simply doesn't cut it. But it is the most impressive AI I have seen to date. Sure, I often yell "What the FUCK are you doing?!" at the screen, but that's only when I play as Sheva - for some reason Chris' AI is actually worse...

And posters, STOP QUOTING YAHTZEE'S REVIEW! Everybody watched it, and they don't need you to remind them of what it said.

Great review, I was thinking about buying the game, and your review has pointed out the good and bad points perfectly. I'm gonna get it next time I have money...
THANKS

My problems wiht Sheva were a bit different. She would not fire her weapon at allllllllll, even after I gave her the inifinite ammo bow. Also she would pick up ammo for weapons neither of us were using. And because you cant tell her to discard something, i would always have to take it from her like a child and throw it away haha. When she did fire her weapon she was pretty accurate, but i felt pretty alone especially when i was being attacked by a zombie and she refused to knock him off of me, but instead just stared with her gun at him. An easy way to solve alot of these problems would be someway to control her, like a checklist of what ammo you want her to pick up or to pick up gold when every she came across it. An example of this is in the ruins part with the pullchains, when you pull the one on the bottom and her the one above you, i had to run all the way back up there to pick up the treasure she ignored. Another would be setting a marker to show how low is low enough for her to heal you. Even combat strategy for her wouldve been a good option to control (ex: melee[stun rod prob], close combat, granader, support, range) Easy solutions the programmers probably shouoldve added in.

Another problem was with multiplayer. Everytime you start a split screen game you need to get the level started, then have the second player press start after it saves, then go back into the game. Also on xbox360 it needs to find the data device every fricken time. It can get very annoying with something taht couldve been fixed with prob one line of code. Overall with xbox I think that if I have only one data device it should automatically use that one. The same problem came up with rockband i believe that each player needed to say with device to use when trying to log in. I dont think I know anyone with a memory card for xbox360.

Sorry, kinda of a rant haha. Good review though!

Seemingly determined to move as far from the air of the original game as possible, the 5th (or technically 19th on all platforms I think...) game in the Resident Evil series takes a similar vein to it's numerical predecessor, while adding a few new components to spice it up.

To give you a brief overview of the plot, you play Chris Redfield (one of the protagonists from the original game) who has been sent to some unnamed random backwater part of Africa, and with the help of your new partner Sheva Alomar .............
amazingly well written review , kudos

Rather than have the wall of quotes, just wanted to say thanks to all those above commenters who took the time to voice their approval of my review.

I'm in an odd position with this game. It didn't appeal to me, but my 360 was bricked (still is), my friend invited me to his house, he just got RE5, and I was starved for games, so we decided to play coop. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised, it was a lot of fun. I still have to go back to his house to finish the last chapter though.

Anyway, you pointed out a lot of stuff about the game that I agree with, especially the controls. Again, I was skeptical about that. but it ended up working surprisingly well.

I got this when I got my RE-5 LE 360 Elite and am looking forward to trying it, however someone (a child) hid my power cable and I'm yet to find it
