It looks so stupid!

Have they completely forgotten that this film franchise started of trying to be scary? Why has it suddenly become full-blown action?

Oh well, hopefully it will entertain me a little.

Much like the actual game series it is based off of?

Yeah, when I read hub post, I thought the exact same thing. Its hard for the film not to do it if the games did it too.

3/4 of the way into the first movie I thought it was great...then the ending came along and I lost all hope of it following or adding on to the video game's storyline.

Guess everybody will be trying to jump onto the 3D system that James Cameroon used, guesss this is not going to be too plot orientated but rather just shoot and kill everythin in sight.

It gets a solid "meh" from me. I'll probably still end up seeing it at a friends house or something. However, I have to agree with the OP, it does seem like they take random elements from the games and just make stuff up.

1. movie: boring
2. movie: stupid but very entertaining
3. movie: incredibly awful
cgi movie: nice action

I don't know why I even saw all of those, but I very well know I will pass on this one, I've had enough. I'm still looking forward to it, though, because it means they will finally get Silent Hill 2 going.
