Say what you will about the man, but you cannot argue with results. The series is in its fifth installment for a reason.

Ah, Paul Anderson. Director of the "Look how hot my wife Milla Jovovich is, oh and also here's some zombies for her to shoot" movies.

I would counter this with the fact that we've also had seven Police Academy movies.

Doesn't matter. he's filling cinema theaters and putting asses to seats and that translates to money. Also, the Resident Evil movies are way, way better than the Police Academy movies which, if I'm correct, most went direct to video.

Facts are facts. As long as there is money to be made there will be more films.

This. The RE movies are terrible. Anderson is the American Uwe Boll.

The movies are just horrible (admits I have only seen first 2 and trailers for the rest). The 1st could be tolerated but then it went to oh look girl with super powers rubbish. I thought 1 of the things about resident evil was that it was NORMAL people who took on the creatures and won. Anderson is just being a trolling hypocrite.

I have to admit, I liked the RE movies...or at least the first 3.

But, it helps that I've not played the games, I know they have little in common.

On the other hand, he is right...did he actually say he was doing any better?

is he serious???? so far every RE movie sucks. part 4 was just bearably watchable. yes, there are few monsters and scenes you know from the games but otherwise they suck so much, its just painful.
but if i have to decide to watch RE or any movie from uwe boll (like this awful bloodrayne), i sure will chose andersons RE.

Oh, like you're the one to talk about staying true the material, Anderson.
You know he had another movie that didn't do so hot with a female lead character called Alice. Projection much?

Well what can you say, it's probably Sony's fault anyway. I mean when you turn down George A. Romero for a zombie movie you have failed right there.

There is a beta script for the first resident evil writen by romero online. I have never read such a terrible script in ages. Chris was more or less Jill's ***** through the movie. The setting was even less like the game then Anderson's version was.

Romero made 3 good zombie flicks that is all everything after that he made he ignored his own lore created with the first 3 movies. To bad that people keep praising how great he is while he just lives in his own private world spewing out lame movies just to make himself feel better.

I think what he's getting at are movies like *cough* Mortal Kombat which might have been cool but tragically were not (Christopher Lambert being the one saving grace of that film imho).
