Kick Off!

I can't be bothered to wait for the other spaces to be filled, Apart from ae86gamer, anyone who joins from here on will be a security guard for the building we land on, or a survivor of the city. They will forsake their second weapon choice for realism.

David.
September 29.
10:17 PM.

The helicopter thundered over the city. Rain drizzled through the opening sides of the helicopter splashing on our faces. Dimitri was piloting the heli', he had ample experience during the many wars he had taken part in. The radio started to crackle;
"Captain Graham, A-team's objective is to clear the top side of the city, B-team will work their way through the labs. You should not encounter too much trouble in your mission but C-team is on stand-by for back up. Your pilot has been informed as to where to land, your team will be inserted on Raccoon City's Hospital roof, it's the only roof that is safe."
"Safe from what H.Q," I didn't get an answer, the radio connection had been closed. Damn storm, H.Q hadn't told us what we were actually meant to be encountering. Which was odd, Going into a mission un-informed. "Dimitri! Do you see the LZ?" He nodded, the helicopter veered to the left and started to hover over the Hospital roof. "Team, Suit up, load your weapons and say your prayers!" They scrabbled to fit their magazines into their guns and adjust their armour. Dimitri started to lower us down, and we landed softly on the roof. I jumped out first and watched my squad climb out after me. It was eerily quiet, no car noises, no gunfire, nothing. I walked to the edge of the building and peered over the railing. The streets were empty, lights were turned off. Whatever happend here had wiped out the electricity.

My squad had arranged themselves into a semi-circle around me.
"Command hasn't told us what has happend here, so don't get twitchy, what you think is an enemy could well be somone to save" They nodded in acknowledgment. "Okay, Suit up!"

I wondered what my squad were thinking...

This is your time to do an intro for your character. You could start from the helicopter ride or from the roof. Don't enter the building until I give the go-ahead.

Aileen stepped off the helicopter, strapping her sniper rifle to her back after suiting up. Looking around, she puts a hand towards her handgun, ready to draw it at a moment's notice, then waits for the go-ahead from the team leader. While she's waiting, several thoughts flash through her head. "Why are we here? What's our purpose? And why am I here? Why was my being a part of this team so important that they'd blackmail me to get me on it?"

I smiled as the message was noted. The streets were empty. no cars, people. Why wouldn't they tell us the main information. Oh well! I was at the mini gun and Dimitri was piloting. I loaded my G36 as we waited but, as said by the captain, didn't say my prayers. God wasn't worth it. The hospital came into view, A vast area marked out with red and blue shapes. I loaded up my G36 and put the lazer sight on, testing it on the back of Aileen's head. She didn't know which was a bonus. I smiled as the helicopter came to a somewhat soft landing. Woo! The fact I couldn't say "Are we there yet" gave of a little dissapointment. I exited the dark of the heli' and left the mini-gun to his fate. We gathered in a semi-circle and I stood at the end. The captain looked over the edge of the building, looking sligtly disturbed. Ha!, to him. Now just to go hunting.

The helicopter whirred away as we reached the drop-zone. Each raindrop that splashed on my forehead was a burst of rejuvination. Everyone was nervous, I could safely say that even I was terrified. The disconnection from HQ must have been the storm...Even though this was just another mission, I was more tense than ever. I looked at David, a water droplet slipped into his eye and made him blink. He looked very sturdy, I on the other hand was shaking. I checked my kit, then played with the tassles on my headband for luck. I watched the others fiddle with their Umbrella Standard issue equipment. It all seemed so...strange.

I stepped off the helicopter, the helecopter ride didn't give me enough time to sum up the squad which worried me deeply, I had lost trust in humanity along time ago. I watched Aileen strap her sniper rifle on, I didn't trust her, experiance has taught me that people who used snipers were cowards and couldn't be trusted when things got tough. I drew my knife out and waved in the air slowly, sharp and light, just the way I liked it, I sheaf it and wait for the others to appear.

Heres my character

Name:Eryn Ryman

Age:19

Height:5'7

Appearance:Aeryn has turquoise colored eyes and dark brown shoulder length hair. She is fairly light skinned. She wears a standard issue grey mercenary Umbrella outfit.

Nationality:Japanese/German

Rank:private E-1

Bio: Aeryn was put into foster care at the age of two months. Both of her parents were killed in car crash caused by a drunk driver. She left Foster Care as soon as she turned 18 and joined the army. An Umbrella spokesperson came to her during her fifth mission and asked her to join The Umbrella's Mercenary training program due to her expertise in chemistry and medicine. She is the youngest and most inexperienced member of her team.

Second Weapon:.357 Magnum caliber revolver

Eryn stepped off the helicopter and tripped. She looked to see around if anyone had notice and they had. She was the most inexperienced person their. She stood up and dusted herself off. She looked around and saw Aileen with her sniper. She saw and knew that everybody would just think of her as a nuisance. She thought to herself "What am I even doing here? Its seems to me like I would just be a burden to everyone here.." She loaded all of her weapons and readied herself.

I heard the Helicopter coming. I was hoping it was to rescue the few movable survivors after the recent zombie outbreak. After it began the security staff escorted anybody with non-fatal injuries to the top near the helipad, two days later and some of use were planning on leaving, and than the Helicopter came. I quickly rushed outside and asked if they were here to rescue us. After being told no by the leader of the team I warned them about what happened. I told them about the zombies.

Pfft why did we have to bring a kid, this isn't going to go well, I'll have to keep an eye on her and if she gets in the way dispose of her. I cant have a rookie ruin the operation. Eryn better not mess up.

"Hey Byran, leave her be, we all start somewhere." I was angered by his behavior, she was probably nervous as it is, there was no need for him to make her feel worse. I tapped my foot, waiting for orders. I thought of Dimitri and the ride to the hospital, he's a damn good aviator, especially being able to navigate in the storm. I turned back to David, and waited for his word.

Eryn saw Byran looking at her and she knew that he already didn't like her. She took her gun and held it by her. "This is already not going well.." She readied her weapon and thought to herself "I won't let anyone down."

David.
10:20 PM.

I looked at the man, he was tall and had a bandage over his arm. He told us about a story about...Zombies. This man was obviously insane. After he told us, he ran away. Thomas pointed his gun at him but I ordered him otherwise.
"Let him go, we don't chase after mental cases," He left the door wide open, flickering lights illuminated the space inside, a staircase led downwards. I peered down and saw a brown puddle at the bottom...it couldn't be, It looked like dried blood. I closed the door and turned towards my team.
"Something feels wrong, I think there's blood at the bottom of the stairs," The team looked puzzled. "Get ready, I don't know what we're in for."

From what I could see by observing the team none of them trusted each other. That was bad, in order for them to sruvive this and stop whatever was happening they needed to work together. There seemed to be alot of distrust on the team. I hope they can work there problems out. I ran away as I ran I cried back at them "Fine if you wont listen to me you wont. If you need me Ill be at the gunshop, See ya."

Everybody seemed tense, I watched David as he bravely gave the orders, he knew that if anything was to go wrong, it would be his fault. There wasn't a bone in my body that didn't have faith in him, but there was something shady about the other members of the squad. It wasn't hard to notice that Eryn was everyone's main concern, I promised myself that I would keep an eye on her, though armed and fully kitted up, she seemed so fragile. My focus was more on her now than the mission itself, this was bad, I stared into the the reflection of my gun, and my younger self stared back. I blinked twice, and clutched my weapon. We were heading straight for hell, I was sure of it.

Eryn had her gun in her hand and bent down to examine the blood. "Its looks like whatever left this blood stood up and walked away...losing that much blood would've killed a normal person..what the hell did this?" Eryn's said as she looked at the blood studying it.

"What is with those soldiers." I thought "they seemed more likely to shoot each other than they are to shoot the zombies. I hope they decide to come and find me, otherwise they dont stand much of a chance in this city alone." I quickly dart down an alley pull my sniper off my back and take down three zombies rapid fire. "Those soldiers dont know what there up against." I say softly too myself, than set off running for the gunshop again.

David.
10:23 PM.

The puddle was more of a stain, a dark, brown, congealed stain of blood.
Suddenly, a man ran through the double doors that connected the Hospital to the roof. In a second my MP5 was trained on his head. He leaned against a wall and then slumped on to the floor, he managed to get into sitting position and he started to breath slowly. I slowly started to walk before him,
"They're coming," he muttered. I heard moans through the door, I ordered Dimitri to close it. The doctor had a nasty wound on his arm, it looked like he'd been bitten.
"Shoot me, shoot m-," The doctor died. I closed his eyes and stood up, I turned towards my team. I heard rustling behind me, my team took a suprised step back. I turned round, the doctor had gotten up.
"Are you Okay? Sir, are you Okay?" He looked up, and bared his teeth.

He lunged towards me, I brought my MP5 and fired it twice. Both bullets slammed into his head, No blood came from him. He fell on the floor. No blood pooled around him. That could mean only one thing, he was dead. Zombies... No. Moans came from the other side of the door, banging and slamming.
"Keep that door covered!" I was getting very freaked out, this didn't make any sense.
