Well, they did say somewhere (probably a link on The Escapist actually) that RE5 was representative of thw way the series would be going from now on. So, maybe that means the notzombies will be of the similar variety, and they'll end up in some other random part of the world fighting the locals of a remote village. That, and black market weapons dealers with infuriating accents. Yes, I'm looking at you Irving.
Also, Wesker turns into a human/volcano hybrid and hurls fireballs at you for the entire game while superintelligent Egyptian zombies (that's where it'll be set, so they have can the obligitary bioweapons lab hidden beneath the pyramids) attack you from tanks and fighter jets. Quite a different game than the previous one again, then.

ther will be another RE becuz they still have some loose ends to tie up
1. Tricell needs to be stopped

to be honest, both resi evil 5 and degeneration give it away that it's gonna focus on tri cell from now on. the main problem i had with 5 wasnt that sheva's AI was bad, it was more the fact that i had to waste my ammo on her aswell as using it myself. the upside was they brought the lickers back which i absolutely loved. i also think they should spin away from the main numbered series and focus on some of the other events in the resi evil history like what happened with sergei(for people who dont know he was in RE Umbrella Chronicles) and what happened with the spencer mansion incident that is shown in the flashbacks in RE 5.
I reckon the only way Resident Evil would feature a gay main character would be if the game was set in a gay disco and involved shooting hordes of gay zombies, at which point Capcom would include a gay character to parry any claims of homophobia.Amund said:
I hope this doesn't happen - after Resident Evil 4 and 5, I think I want some alone time without useless support characters getting themselves murdered and forcing me to replay the same sections over and over and over...
I think there will be another one seeing how the developers said there will be a reboot of the series for the 6th installment.

Well as the Resident Evil characters have grown from borderline victims into actual heroes working for goverment(s) (either international like Chris' team seems to be, or the US Goverment like Leon) I think there are a lot of directions they could go in with it, and being responders they could also increase the beastiary.
Imagine an X-com type game where you deal with monsters/bio-outbreaks accross the globe, deploy a team of your favorite characters to explore/gather clues/lay the smackdown on the bad things. Research the clues you find, develop new gear and such, and then eventually unlock the overall conspiricy and respond to it. Think of it as like X-com combined with a squad based 3rd person shooter. Not all that much of a stretch since this is pretty much what BSAA already does right?
Another idea *I* like is for them to go the "major geekdom" route and start pimping out Resident Evil for some crossovers. Have them investigate a missing film crew and run into the bad guys from Siren: Blood Curse. Or perhaps a team up between one of the girls from Fatal Frame and Chris Redfield to take on some ghosts, or something like that.
All kinds of stuff they could do.
Oh and for reasons real geeks will get: I was kind of hoping Akuma would be the one to pwn Wesker in the end.

It's gonna be in some random country, were one race runs towards an overly muscular white guy, who, for being so buff, can't walk and fire his pistol at the same time.
That would be perfect and they could make it like the original where you have to play as each character to see how the stories intertwine. It could take place in a mansion with a secret lab underneath Wesker set up only to kill all the ex-S.T.A.R.S and Raccoon survivors. The final Bose is of course Wesker but to finish him off you dont kill him Chris has to distract him long enough for the self-destruct to blow him up, or maybe make it look like Wesker has won and killed Chris only to find out Chris inject himself with one of the viruses to keep him alive(nod to Berkin) and the two fight to the finish with super virus enhanced powers. that would be SO kick ass.trooper112 said:
I also believe Wesker isn't dead, falling into Lava? Yes I'm sure that is really going to kill the ultimate super villain of the resident evil universe. If he can survive in the entire time it took Chris and Shiva to clime a rope ladder surly he couldn't swim to the shore.
