The series just hasn't been the same since it left Raccoon City. Get back to the roots and just give us a few new survivors in a different area of the town.

A re-imagining of Resident Evil 2 would suffice just fine. Not just a remake, but a total redoing of most if not all aspects. This will never happen, however. Instead they turn the series into a Metal Gear-esque action movie, complete with bullet dodging Matrix characters and whatever else they feel like adding.

It reminds me of Square "remaking" all sorts of Final Fantasy games, from the earliest to the somewhat recent spin-offs. Some they totally remake and others they simply re-release with nothing new at all. Yet, the only game anyone ever seems to give a shit about calling for a remake is FFVII. Have they touched on it.. no. They made a prequel on the PSP, but who honestly looks forward to handheld games on little tiny screens. They have their charms, but come on now.

Never played it. I thought it was on a ship or something. I am not very literate in the RE games pre-RE4. BUT they could go to Antarctica again with RE4 gameplay.

Well, there isn't really much in Antarctica... Would have to be another frozen research complex again, which is actually pretty cool.

I think Russia is a good choice, or an oil drilling platform in the middle of the ocean that leads to an underground laboratory, or a biochemical laboratory with a secret ex-Umbrella Bio-Chemical laboratory underneath it.

Its the perfect hiding place, who would look for a Bio-Chemical laboratory UNDERNEATH a Bio-Chemical laboratory. Or perhaps in Iceland it's like the antarctic but smaller.

how about let the series die? i mean 4 was ok but you could see they were losing interest/ideas a bit 5 as much as i enjoyed it was a repackaged 4 and i hate to think what they will do with another game
