Somehow it's bad PR to respond to do this, for example, Capcom and Valve recently caught flak for being 'racist'. Videogames generally have a bad rap for being 'violent', Mass effect's 'sex scene'.

Generally, the companies PR will take the accusations seriously, try to offer up an explanation or an apology or a general 'no comment'.

What if they did what the rest of the Internet when they respond to trolls? Use sarcasm, how will that work out? Are there any real world cases? Anyone working in PR or Marketing here?

I think companies would probably avoid doing that because some people will take those accusations seriously and the companies can't be seen to be dismissive of something so 'sensitive'

I fail to see how sarcasm is evidence. I would also be interested to see instances where this has happened in real life situations, for those with knowledge of such instances.
