Some of ya'll are embarrassments to the concept of "retro". Deus Ex? Baldur's Gate? Good lord, people. These games are barely 10 years old.

Here's some retro for you...some of my old favorites. We'll see if anyone can actually identify these games without cheating:

I am not one for epic knowledge of old computers or stuff older than the NES, but I did reckognize something. Cant for the life of me remember the name of number 2, but isn't it an Intellivision title? Pretty sure. I remember it had 2 islands competing of being the best of da best. Plant farms and hospitals and beware of those damn storms! They'll F your S up! Am I close at all?

Also, number 4... Not 100% sure but I know it's one of the first parts of a big series... Im gonna put my money on Ultima... ^_^

Oldest thing I have is my Amiga 500. There's a 1200 knocking about as well, bought because my brother and I kept arguing over whose turn it was to play. But I've still got all my games for it, not to mention the manuals and various forms of copy protection. It's plugged in. And yes, it still works perfectly. :)

Some of my favourite games for it would have to be: Speedball II, Cadaver, Zool, Magic Pockets, Lure of the Temptress, Secret of Monkey Island (the original), Dungeon Master, the Ishar series, New Zealand Story, Rainbow Islands, Gods, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, Populous 2, Flood, UFO: Enemy Unknown... Brings a tear to the eye, it really does. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. God bless the Bitmap Brothers, I say.

I've kept all my consoles and games over the years, too. Could never bring myself to sell them or trade anything in. What if I wanted to play them again? SO there's the SNES, the PlayStations, the XBoxes... Plus an entire library of Final Fantasies (yes, ALL of them), RPGs like Azure Dreams and Wild Arms, Suikoden, Vagrant Story and Secret of Mana. I think actually, my house has more stuff in it than the local branch of Game.

Oh, and I used to play Chuckie Egg a lot on my school computers when I was a kid.

I've been at it for some time ;)
The history of weird european home computers is an interesting one. Alot of stuff released, especially in britain. Sinclair, Dragon, Commodores, Amigas were the well known ones. But damn, they made alot of weird stuff. I have a MicroProfessor II sitting in my closet. That machine is a mystery. Let me link you, actually. It's kinda funny...

What do you mean "IF"? That's what retro-gaming is all about! Relive those memories! Create new memories ON old memories by buying more stuff for your consoles! It's one of the most interesting, most fun and most intriguing hobbies I even know about! ^_^

Replayed the original Monkey Islands last summer. Dear god, is it one of the best written video games in history or what? Also got mad deal on UFO on steam last summer. Not in the original box, so not the same, but still daaarn fun! Challenging, that stuff is! Populous? Damnit, our computer-history is quite the similiar one! I remember playing the third one ALOT when it came out in like 1997 or something.

Building a collection of video game history is amazing! During the last few years I have bought all the home consoles by Nintendo, quite a few Sega machines, all the Sonys etc. Fun stuff, fun stuff. People who haven't experienced the birth of genres, can't see gaming as a whole.

I still hold Chrono Trigger and Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals as the best RPG titles of all time. Also loved Bomberman 64
