Yeah it's true it sucks.
The fact that it's day 1 of its release and there is not a single person to play with online in all the continents of the world except America, means something.

Unfortunately shops where I live doesn't take back opened games.
:(

Haven't played the full game but I knew it wasn't going to be very good, it was a chore just playing through the demo.

Actually there is only one thing that really pissed me off with this game. The Balls of steel limitied edition. All that money and the Nukem bust is tiny. I blame dead space 2 for that with that piece of shit plasma cutter. You buy these limited editions expecting greatness for your dollar and instead you get f**k all. Is bullshit I tell you! I mean at least the cards could have "the babes and quotes of duke nukem" instead of just being normal cards... Oh well what can you do except not fall for it...

I kinda expected this to happen, although I was hoping to be wrong and have Gearbox prove that something could be saved from the last decade of development. *sigh* Maybe Duke should have stayed dead going the all the first impressions I've read.

All those who saw this coming say aye.

Aye.

Seriously people, we all knew this was going to happen. Once the word got out about the demo everyone should've caught on.
Aye.

I told you all too, and I told you after I played the demo, and I kept telling you, and you all told me: "you don't understand!", "the game isn't for you!", "you don't know the meaning of the word 'fun'", "fuck you arse hole!".

And now I am duly laughing at you all. I fucking told you.

Also: why is everyone buying it when you've all been told its shit a million times ?!

The amount of times I've seen: "well this is really disappointing to hear, the game sounds like shit. Definitely not what I was looking for in DNF. Still, I'll buy it."

Errr... what?

Every review I've seen has slammed it.

I so called it. Feels good to be right.

The demo was awful so I'm not surprised that the final game is dreadful. One saving grace would have been being able to carry more then 2 weapons. Like being able to carry all weapons, the 2 weapon limit was lame, the car driving segment was terrible, it wasn't funny, it wasn't pretty it really seemed like a horrible product.

Hahaha look at this dude thinking that Duke would be an innovative experience. You realise yesh that it's not meant to be creative or refreshing or w/e. It's just an mindless shooter, I'm not sure what you expected...

The best thing about Duke Nukem for me is my store won free copies in a pre-order competition, and it's trading in for $82 (AUS) in the first week. HELL YEAH! That's $82 to go towards some GOOD game pre-orders! Thank you, Duke :D

I was holding out hope until the demo. But after that, I don't see how anyone remains optimistic about the game. Gearbox missed the bloody point.

Is the company that made Duke Nukem publicly traded? I want to start shorting the piss out of their stock and make a shitload of money.

Everything I've actually seen of the game looks weak. The combat looks hideously slow paced, awkward and small scale. All the humour I've seen in it have just been references. Not even jokes built on references, which I'm fine with, just references. Ones which don't even make sense.

That guy's shouting, and he sounds just like Christian Bale ranting!
That soldier ran forward and died suddenly! And he's called Leeroy Jenkins! Wasn't that funny when we originally watched that video five years ago?
And oh look, Duke doesn't want Master Chief's power armour because it's for pussies. Instead the EDF trooper offers him a weapon. Is the real joke here that he can't accept the weapon because he has a two weapon limit that, while a perfectly functional game mechanic, has no place in this type of game?

Hahahaha.

I dunno, I'm a little skeptical of some reviews. I think too many fans are wearing nosalga goggles. I've never played any of the previous DN games but I thought the new one looked like a very promising alternative to "Brown Shooter X".

I watched a several fans play and even enjoy the game up until certain points (usually when they find out about the two weapon limit or the regenerating health) and then ***** like crazy. It's really surreal mood whip-lash, they go from loving it to hating it. I think too many people are complaining over any comparison to modern shooters or anything else not living up to the hype. It's not perfect but it's still better than most of the crap we get nowadays.

The absolute biggest irony of this all: Since release, Fox News hasn't said a thing.

Aye.

I was excited until I saw the first trailer. You could see all of that in the trailer and the demo, why are people surprised?
