Random question: What do you think would happen if Bayonnetta did a cross-over game with Devil may cry?

I...sure, I guess. I'll check it out. God of War meets Super Mario Galaxy...that sounds slightly amazing.

Speaking of Devil May Cry, does anyone else think this guy is sort of a one-trick pony?
If it is, that's one hell of a trick that there pony has.
Not really, considering DMC hasn't evolved in substance since the original PS2 game back at the dawn of time.

At least we're free of that tony redgrave nonsense

"witch time".... He called it innovative? Really? slow motion is about the LEAST innovative thing... Hell he's even done it in Devil May Cry (albeit in a less useful way).
That's what I thought as well!!! Bullet time/slow motion/whatever you call it is freaking old and anything but innovative these days...
No, bullet time isn't innovative - but the way you activate it through precise reactions to your enemies' movements is. It adds an incredible tension and release to the combat that you rarely experience in hack-and-slash games.

A maybe purchase. I just bought Darksiders so I'm playing that at the moment. But when I finish it, I might get this

I liked this game, even the J-pop music. Only places I died was during cutscenes when you HAVE to push or you die..so much for putting down controller to enjoy the scene >.<
Can't say that there were long loadingtimes though, played the 360 version.

and the last boss...took ages and lots of items until dead, got stone statue rank >.<

I love and hate this game for its difficulty and challenge. I was psyched for this game, and despite my PS3 handicap with loading times, it's all good and better at over the top action and fun. Bayonetta's sexuality is a bit much, but that's her character, and it's Hideki Kamiya. Like he doesn't get into his games. Every game he has made has a sense of absolute devotion to the idea behind it. Viewtiful Joe was a spoof on Hollywood action movies, Okami was a delightful and beautiful representation of folklore and art, and Devil May Cry was just kickass demon slaying. If Bayonetta, both game and character, were restrained, it wouldn't feel right. It's meant to be f---ed up and make people say "Holy S---! Did you see that?! That was a chainsaw through his body!". As for the sex aspect, he's just giving us what every other M rated game does, but isn't ashamed to admit it. Rock on, Bayonetta.

Nero loses.

He's nothing compared to the others.

I don't know: I played the demo, and it's damn fun. Seems like a quality equine to me.
Well I just kind of expected more. Guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, though huh?

Ah, nice to see Bayonetta's jumped on "The Divine Comedy" bandwagon. Purgatorio, Inferno, and Paradiso? I was waiting for dante's inferno for my fill of literal inspiration. Still, if it plays as good as you say it does, then there's no harm done. I'm still holding out for Dante's Inferno, though.
Considering Bayonetta took three years to develop I'd say they pretty much built the wagon. ;D

And it plays like a dream so far. <3

Yes, it is quite violent and sexually implying. but it is also a whole lot fun to play. and THAT's what matters in my book.
