what is man's creator, his greatest asset, and his ultimate weakness?
Well now, it seems my old nemesis the riddler has come back to town.

1. "What is man's creator", taken by itself it seems to be a philosophical question but an in depth analysis reveals to me the true intent behind it.
You start of with the letter "w", the 23rd letter in the alphabet, so you will obviously strike on the 23rd, but of what month?
Now, if you had simply given the answer to this outright, it wouldn't have been as much fun, so you chose to deflect, since the second part of the word actually refers to your partner in crime.
YES, you are planning a crime with the "Mad hatter".
But where will you two strike and what is your goal?
This is where your philosophical game comes into play.
The "man's creator", the man in this case being of course your partner in crime, so his "creator" is Lewis Carrol, the author of "Alice in Wonderland".
Now, you being to talk about "his" [Lewis Carrol's] greatest asset, a simpler man would argue thathis greates asset would of course be his work as an atuhor, his writing talent or even his position as a teacher.
But, being the twisted mind you are, you are referring to the capitals of "L and C" in Lewis Carrols name.
And with these you are in fact referencing the LexCorp branch of Gotham City.
But what could you possibly aim for, what could be so important that you are willing to go against Lex Luthor?
You describe it as his "ultimate weakness", but whose weakness, whose ultimate weakness could you possibly want to exploit?
The only one with an "ultimate weakness" is Superman.
But you know you have no chance against him, so you have decided to steal Lex Luthors cryptonite suit, but you know you could never get your hands on the real deal, even with your superior intellect, you could not outsmart Luthors private security measures.
But you could aquire the lesser known protoype kept here at LexCorp.
This suit however has one downside. It drives it's user insane, so you could not possibly use it, no, your mind means too much to you for you to risk it, but if you had a partner, already insane and willing to follow your command, you could pull it off. So you need the mad hatter, who, despite being absolutely insane would be willing to follow your command.
But why do you need the Mad Hatter? There is an abundance of maniacs running around that would pose much less of a threat to you.
Simple, you want to use his hypnosis to control superman, in order to build the "ultimate" deathtrap for gotham city itself.
But on what date?
We established the 23rd as the day, but of what month?
To determine that, I need but to add up the total number of letters of your post, coming to 55.
Now I add 5 and 5 and I get 10.
So clerly, you are planning to commit your heinous crime on the 23rd of October.
But I shall be there to stop your plan from fruition

Maybe the point of the riddle is not to find the right answer, but what our answers say about ourselves.

Dude... too far.
Anyways, while a man's ultimate weakness and creator are pretty flexible by profound enough definition, a man's greatest asset is much more subjective, and if it doesn't somehow meet the criteria of both creator and weakness then they can't possibly all be the same thing.

Wrap it up people, time to go home. We have a winner. I don't care if OP thought of something different, he was deluding himself.

Technically the word "ultimate" actually means 'final' or 'last.' Although in common usage it is often used in place of 'best', 'super' or 'greatest.'

Life. Mortality if you will.
Without it we would never be born, with it we can do great things, but an intrinsic part of life is that it ends. And it isn't perfect.

So several people have posted woman/wife something along those lines. Quick question: how is a woman a mans asset? Pretty sure that doesn't work/count.

As for the answer, I expect it to be lame, cliché bullshit like most pseudo-philosophical riddles and I'm an arsehole, so whatever to it.

Sex.

Think of "man" as humanity.

What made you? Sex.

What can be a great asset? Sex.

What can be a great weakness? Guess.

Bacon is runner up here.

Also, can bacon and sex be mixed?

Well, you can, but I don't see any weaknesses there.

With that said, I just remembered I have something to do, so I'll have to leave you there - need to go to the store and buy bacon. Also, find a girlfriend.

Bacon, obviously.

"Man's creator": you're not a man until you've had bacon.
"Greatest asset": Need I really explain?
"Ultimate weakness": You know you can't resist.
But what about Muslims? Their religon forbids them from eating pork, so bacon can't be their wea-my god.

Muhammad knew. Al-Qaeda is going to be fucking invincible.

There are several satisfying answers. The context is not established so it is a very open-ended question.

What is the context? Is it humanity? Is it the male role-model in society? Is it wit or lulz?

You could just as well ask "what is the meaning of life?".

It's a horrible riddle that has millions of answers, all of which are equally valid. That said, woman isn't a valid answer. My reasoning is simple: woman did not create man because (as people forget with staggering regularity) reproduction requires a man.

Seriously, it's not a difficult concept.

Anyhow, my answer to this horrible and pretentious riddle is a horrible and pretentious answer. Man's creator, greatest asset, and greatest weakness, is his creativity.
In the beginning, we were nothing but smelly apes living in the trees hiding from the monsters in the dark. Then we gained creativity and created fire and weapons to beat back the monsters in the dark. The change in lifestyle allowed us to grow larger brains at the expense of the ability to eat raw meat, and thus creativity was our creator.
We began ruling the world, changing it to suit our needs and making whatever we wanted. We became all-powerful, and creativity was thus our greatest asset.
Creativity craves answers, and where it cannot find any it creates new ones, and so we made gods and godesses and pointless rules to live by. We created nations and kings and names and icons. We created power we were ill equipped to wield, and turned it on each other in the name of our created gods and social constructs. Thus, creativity became our greatest weakness.
