he got ripped of so bad they gave him $30.
??????

It sounds like he got a $50 game for $20, isn't that a good thing?
It's a joke... not that hard to get. Try reading it again a few times and tell me if you get it.
I get it, it's just not funny.

Back when Sonic Adventure 2 came out on the Dreamcast, I bought the last copy. I was giddy and excited because I loved the first one. Opened the case, and, guess what?

THERE WAS NO FUCKING DISC IN THE CASE!

Walmart didn't even acknowledge my complaint.

Fuck you, Walmart. :[

A friend wanted to move out of state and needed a significant amount of money to move. Thus far, I have yet to see a single penny back of what I loaned him.

I'm never loaning anyone money again. Go to a fucking bank if you need to borrow money.

I would have. Omnomnom.

OT: Ripped off, hmm...? I can't think of any times I was truly ripped off, but I probably have been.

I bought that DVD box that contains both the Dawn of the Dead remake as well as Land of the Dead (new). The Land of the Dead disc is so scratched it won't play beyond 10 minutes. Wonderfully, you cannot return already opened software boxes. :D Yay!

I got GTA:Vice City for Christmas one year... I was pretty excited. I open it up and find... some lame movie inside. Went back to wal-mart and got the actual game while they all played stupid about it.

Bought a Crossfade CD from Wal-mart forever ago. It was still sealed and everything but when I opened it at home, it was a blank recording disc inside. >.> Luckily, I could still take it back.

Bought Metal Gear Solid 2 from GameStop. I got a black label case but a Greatest Hits disc. I'm not picky about black labels vs. greatest hits but that did annoy me...

Can't really recall me ever being ripped off...then again, maybe I'm just too slow to realize it.

On a somewhat similar note, a year ago I went to the local Game Stop in the mall, and by local, I mean a half hour drive away through mind-numbing traffic. I get there, and find a copy of Dawn of War: Soulstorm. And on sale for $20, no less! I see they have an absurdly long line, but a few friends have this expansion, and I'd like to continue playing with them, so I decided to bite the bullet and wait in line.

2 hours of reading random game guides, issues of gameinformer, and the backs of atleast 30 different game cases, I finally approach one of two rather weird looking cashiers (his hair was some sort of half mohawk half ponytail, with a bit of solid snake's mullet thrown in for giggles) And I hand him the case, he rings it up, looks confused, and then tells me "Ummm...we don't have this game."

I ask him how that is possible, to have a complete game case, not a show model mind you, and not the game that came in said case. He shrugs and tells me sorry. I don't hold it against this poor man with horrible hair, he's only doing his job, so I just leave and vow to never go to gamestop again. I'm proud to say I've stood by that commitment.

Seriously though, the fuck do you get a game's case without the game?

....I bought Shadow the Hedgehog

I did buy Megaman X collection for gamecube and it had Megaman NT warrior in it. I didn't want that piece of shit so I went back and got the real game.

The company I insured my mobile phone with refused to repair it unless I paid extra on top of my apparently all problems included monthly bill. The extra being £100.

Reported those bastards to trading standards, turns out they weren't even licensed....

I have been looking for Metal Gear Solid ever since I played 2 when it came out (so circa 9 years)

last week, I went to Gamestop and found the Gamecube version and thought "alright, I can play this on my Wii"!

got home...found out my family got rid of all the gamecube controllers... *sigh*

I almost got ripped off once. I brought my laptop to some repair guy to have it fixed. He said he might not be able to fix it, but he would try. If he was able to, it would take a while and cost a lot though so I decided to send it into the company instead. I had stopped at the repair place on the way to pick up my cousin from the airport and on the way home he decided to look at it. In less than an hour, it was completely fixed for free.

Same thing happened when I finally found Phoenix Wright after months of searching. And once they had the case for Worms 2: Armagadaeon, but they only had the first game.
