Rise of the Guardians: Jack Frost Fan Pairings

It seems pretty unnecessarily harsh for a person's account to get closed down based on the opinions of a few people who didn't like it for such a silly reason.

I can't say anything more than that considering I've never read the fanfic in question,
but I've certainly seen WORSE pairings (Captain Hook and Riku).
Also, it's not even that bad of a pairing, or really that much of a stretch.
I have the same opinion of Jack Frost being paired with Miranda as I do him with Rapunzel.
Of course Rapunzel is much better with Flyn but I'm a sucker for cannon.

and when can bad writing get someones account suspended, especially when it comes to fan fiction, which is notorious for bad writing and shouldn't at all be a thing taken to seriously...

I know, I mean on the same week she closed her account, she nearly got reported for writing a songfic it was called "Falling Slowly Part II: A New Beginning". Thank god she deleted the story before she got suspended. And I do agree with you that its silly that she would close her account over some bad responses. She should have just laugh at the critic on Tumblr and move on. Otherwise, she would have kept going with the whole Jack Frost/Merida pairings. Oh, and it's Merida not Miranda (But close enough).

Okay, now a lot of you already know that Rise of the Guardians isn't out in theaters until November 21st, But here's what I've found out. Now I'm sure most of you don't know but that's fine, there was this one person on Fanfiction.net known as MeridaXJack Frost 4Ever who was highly wanting to pair Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians and Princess Merida from Brave. She thought she was going to get a lot of love off the pairing but then suddenly one day when she went on Tumblr, she noticed that this one person who read the fanfics thought it was so poorly written and how she chosed the name of the pairing (It was "Frozen Arrows") she was forced to close her account.

Why? Why does one person disliking your friends fanfic force her to close her account? Was the criticism really that scathing?

If anyone knows why I knew of that person, she's actually a friend of mine but I support the pairing as well. Now on Tumblr, I noticed that there was a video on the pairing of Jack and Rapunzel (It's on YouTube) and I (Like MeridaXJack Frost 4Ever) have realized that not that many people support the Jack Frost/Merida pairing all that much. They're either focused on pairing Merida with the Once-ler and like I mentioned Jack and Rapunzel. In my opinion on behalf of the now-closed account that belonged to my friend, I say that they should pair Jack And Merida together regardless of Rise of the Guardians not being released yet. What do you guys think about who should Jack Frost be with? I know many of you are going to say Rapunzel because of the vid I mentioned but what are your thoughts on who should Jack being paired with?

Whoever it makes sense for Jack Frost to be paired with, based on his and the other party's personality, appearance, etc. Seeing as we haven't seen the movie yet, I have no clue at the moment.

No one since the film Rise of the guardian is not ever out yet therefore you know little about Jack Frost at the moment.
Sure I never into fanfic as one of the reasons is due to fact anyone can make it up with the pairing (seriously there is a Devianart group for Midna and Zant, WTH?????). I only like conon related pairing when there are chemistry between the characters in the first place or their romance was never dwell upon despite they had feelings for each other (Van and Fiona from Zoids: Chaotic Century).

I understand that like I just mentioned on my overlong starting post about the film not being out yet. But if you look on YouTube and type in "Rise of the Guardians Rapunzel", you can see that someone made a pairing of Jack Frost and Rapunzel.

*FULL DETAILS ABOUT WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO MERIDAXJACK FROST 4EVER* If you look at her account on Fanfiction.net I'm not sure but it might or might not be there, but you can see what that one person on Tumblr did to her. I don't know if that troublemaker was a he or a she, but he/she made her close her account and she renamed it "MERIDAXJACKFROST4EVER DELETED". After finding out that she closed her account, I spotted her crying and the next day she disappeared. Now I know a lot of you are going to say this but I agree on what you are about to say, it was a pretty bad move for her to do after she closed her account for good. All she ever wanted was to make the pairing Jack Frost/Merida more noticed even if Rise of the Guardians wasn't released yet. But all she got was a lot of enemies via Tumblr who are most infamous for ruining the lives of individuals like it did to my friend last week. Gosh I feel so bad for her. :'(

Out of respect for her disappearence, who thinks Jack Frost/Merida would make a great couple? It's not out of popularity but it's out of respect only so that the next time she goes on the internet but comes on this website, she would feel better after all the events that occured last week.

Alright never mind the brain part, but yes she did disappeared. After the bad response she recieved that turned from just a plain bad review into an emotional firestorm. Like I said to others, it was a very bad move she did. She would've just laughed/ignored the critics and moved on, but she didn't so she's gone for good on fanfiction. If it wasn't for that one person (under the account name on Tumblr bad-fanfiction), she would've continued. Now I know there are going to be a lot of critisism everywhere no matter where you go and I tried telling her that. Please understand that, she's just a close friend of mine that wanted to be admirized on Fanfiction.net for goodness sake.

This. If a franchise contains no implications of romantic/sexual tension, then I don't see why you would want x and y characters to end up together.

Cross-franchise pairings are even worse. It's not even a creative endeavor. And I'm clueless as to how you can 'support'[footnote]You say support as though it would be something that should be made to happen. Like they should make that movie.[/footnote] something so inane and random. Hell, I can't even begin to see the chain of thought leading to something like this.

On a mainly unrelated note, it's just hit me that if a shit stain like 50 Shades can be published, our next generation of writers may well be made up of the shippers and fantasy obsessives from places like Fanfiction.net.

I didn't feel I was. And surely you'd be better off 'remembering' her somewhere where she was a part of the community? You know where other people would have interacted with her in some way and could sympathise with you?
