That and the British version were solid parts of my childhood, and together with Scrapheap Challenge fueled my fascination for machinery. You could say I enjoyed it alright, and how. I still have to get to the mini-series of last month, apparently it's pretty rad.

Oh God I'm just watching the first battles and....my....my God... I'm freakin' gleefully clapping. The sparks man, the sparks! Bits flying everywhere! The smoke, the destruction! This brings me back alright. Now all I'm waiting for is seeing a robot melt thanks to fire.

I just loved Robot Wars with those beautiful but deadly house robots and you can't forget Hypno-Disc and Chaos 2.
