Well, off the top of my head I'd have to say Airbourne is pretty good evidence rock isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I'll throw in a bit of Flogging Molly for some good measure, though in my area I seem to be the only one who listens to them so I may be the same here, who knows?

If we're also going to include pre-95 bands who have recently released albums recently, I'll say Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Scorpions, and some Rage Against the Machine. Whether you consider any of these bands rock or good for that matter, I don't care, but its evidence enough for me that rock isn't dying out anytime soon.

Rock became metal.
Then from metal came all her sub-genres.

THAT is where the inspiration from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Tho Who, The Stones, Deep Purple, and Uriah Heep went.

Queens Of The Stone Age, The Sword, and Fu Manchu are saving good old fashioned rock and roll and I love them for it.

Classic rock is dead because times have changed. There are still bands that attempt classic style rock, and Iron Maiden are still around, so it's not all bad. And as for rock as a genre, it's bigger than ever!

"Glitter and trauma" and "My recovery injection" are two singles and should be easily found on youtube. If you like those then check out the songs "theres no such thing as a jaggy snake" and "some kind of wizard" also. (Where I get my name)

- enjoy. :)

Wolfmother

To name a few.....
You've heard of Wolfmother?? Not alot of people on this have heard of them...great band...
And props on the above...heard of them all except Biffy Clyro and Artic Monkeys!
Ya wolfmother rock. I cant believe you never heard of Artic Monkeys. Their a very popular English band. The singer is a great storyteller.

Biffy Clyro are one of my fav bands. Their from scotland and I hifghly recommend them. Check out their album "Infinity land" if your interested. Their latest album Puzzle is quiet good but its very mainstream so it might give the wrong impression.
Yeah, I will be sure to check them out!
Any favs on the "Infinity Land" album that you recommend?? It seems you've good taste :)
