And still no PC release date announcement.

Rockstar, I am disappoint. You made your mad bank on console sales, you're only delaying the excessive extra bank from the PC crowd by delaying this release. We're aware of the code, it's all but announced...

Now get your shit together and do what's right.

Oh geezus, fuckin Rockstar. A billion isn't good enough, need microtransactions too. Remind me why I need to feel sorry for these big companies over piracy again...

This further ruins gaming, but gamers will continue to keep giving these idiots money to encourage it; Games, next-gen consoles and all.

This all the fault of that one reviewer.

If she only had given GTAV 10/10 (instead of a measly 9/10) they might have actually sold some copies and earned enough money without resorting to micro-transactions.

Judging from the thread as a whole. This is a surprisingly.....mellow reaction to micro-transactions.

Is everyone still high on GTA V fumes or have we started accepting micro-trancs in games?

I envision two play styles in GTAO:

In one, groups of players queue up outside of gas stations, waiting for their chance to stick up the place and make off with $200.

In the other, groups of players spend real money on miniguns in order to mow down groups of players queued up outside of gas stations.
fucking A, that is the fear. However Rockstar have addressed this, and claim to have a system to stop the "cunts" from getting into your game. Something to do with ranking et cetera. Once again, no matter the fact that Rockstar is one of my favourite companies, I will not trust anything they say in regards to multiplayer until I play it. I have been a sucker for flashy business talk too many times in the past, and the GTA:O description seems to have a lot of these so called " goals " that, for all I know, may never be achieved. Time will tell, and I look forward to sticking up a gas station with a pistol.

I might be one of those cunts, because I'm one of those players who tries, but fails horribly time to time, to follow self imposed challenges such as helping people who are mugged and have their vehicles stolen.
One of the things I'm waiting for is if players can steal from a group that just stole from a bank or aforementioned gas station.

to me, that is added stress. Will you get away with the loot? Will the 'leader' give out fair shares [since that is chosen at the 'end' of a heist, or they could just take it all]? Will we have to worry about people taking the next easiest route, instead of robbing stores or paying for cash, just killing everyone and making off with your hard earned loot?

I kind of liked Kane and Lynch'es multiplayer for the fact that people could betray you, and GTA Online sounds like it would be a playground for such antics.

If R* even comes out with 'police' or 'military/PMC' characters that actually get paid for stopping such robberies, then hoo boy, all bets are off on me playing a criminal.

Well, there's a fine line between playing a criminal and being a griefer, so to speak. There's a difference between having a duke out with your fellow players, however.. going around with a rocket launcher and shooting people for no reason other than to ruin their fun is a whole 'nother beast.

I believe this is the first company that, before launch, stated that its going to crash and bug out and asked us for grind through that. I like rockstar even more now, they seem to be a honest bunch.

The cynic in me expects one of the microtransactions will be a 'car retrieval service' that recovers customized cars that currently vanish without a trace due to a 'bug'.
They have confirmed that microtransactions will be for ingame cash, so that means its completely same as if you were to ean cash ingame, just without actual effort.

I like to earn money to buy stuff by playing the game. That's kind of the whole point. But for people who don't have the time, but would like to be able to fly a super expensive jet online, this is a good thing. I don't mind it.
Yep, basically what i think about this deal as well. as long as they dont limit our options microtransactions are fine. And i too like the earning part as well. i like to "Have a goal" and earning money to buy something is a goal. and that does not mean ill go the most profitable way. i could decided that i must buy this car solely on money earned from stolen car sales or something. im weird like that.

I remember back in SAMP we had people like that. We learnt a way to make the minigun guy "knocked out permanently" by abusing a glich in the system, so the server didnt register his shots and thus we would get no damage. the guy was obviuosly a cheater since that server didnt allow miniguns, but we had no admisn around so we "neutralized" him.
thing is, this is one of the most fun experiences i had, finding unconventional ways to solve problems.

I've yet to actually do a microtransaction. Perhaps I just have great patience but as long as nothing is cut off I just don't care about them. I also don't care about multiplayer so microtransactions in a multiplayer game means I have oh so little shits to give. Maybe I'm old and just don't have the energy to care anymore but I still don't get why folks get so worked up over this kind of thing.
