- Follow the law, even of you don't like it. It's not that hard.
The law and what is right are not definitely the same thing, I thought you wanted your children to have their own opinion? Yet the law is no more than anothers opinion.
I agree with most of what you are saying, but everything we see and do affect us in some way, is this approach really practical?

I think the Sims make good role models. They study, work, learn, socialise and obey your every command. Who could be a better role model than them

I would hope that I could have a son that, if I were to be murdered, would become Batman

I don't think that idolising one person, and taking their stance on everything isn't a good idea at all. You've got to teach kids to think for themselves, laterally and logically so they can make up their own minds. Put emphasis on teaching them morals, empathy, compromise and manners. Not blindly following what someone else does/says.

@Cyborg-Incognito:
While CJ has some good traits, he's also more than willing to engage in crime just for the heck of it. I liked the character, but a good guy? Hardly. I realize the cops are corrupt and such, but still... that doesn't really excuse most of his behavior.
CJ, unlike previous GTA characters, did have some human elements but at the end of the day, his reaction to most things ended up being "Whack that guy? Okay."

from a recent game, I like Jansen from Lost Odyssey. He was a drunk, a womanizer, and the best black magic caster in the game.

Right, if I had a son or daughter by any chance at all, I'd get him or her to be themselves but also play games or else I'd be bored playing Halo or something alone.

My personal role model has always been Sephiroth. For one simple reason. He knew what he wanted and he went for it. The people I admire most are those with strong convictions. I have no real ambition myself so when I meet someone who will willingly sacrifice anything and do anything no matter how difficult to achieve their ends then they instantly gain my respect. What their goal is is secondary to me.
Yes yes, I realise I would probably have been one of those who would have followed Hitler. -.-;
Hmm a nazi Sephiroth. Now that's something I never would have thought of.
