His last big opened-in-theater film was Hellboy 2 back in 2008, so it's no wonder he wants to do another one. Everything since then has been lower in budget or popularity, or a voiceover, or direct-to-video (mix and match those three as appropriate).

Except Pacific Rim, I guess, but I'm somehow doubting he's doing a leading role in that movie.
That's probably because he's been busy with Sons of Anarchy (which is pretty damn good).

Do I hear Kickstarter???
My thoughts exactly.

RON, IF YOU CAN HEAR US, GO KICKSTARTER WITH IT!

Suffice to say, I'd watch. Hellboy is entertaining and weird. I like entertaining and weird, and so do alot of other people. Let the man don the Big Red for this.

I don't think it'll happen, I want it to but I think this'll be something that slowly dies and ends up being that project people always wish they'd gotten around to making. Seriously though, I'd love to see it, not quite Army of Darkness 2 love but still, quite a lot of love.

Considering he's not too fond of the make-up required for Hellboy he must really want another sequel. And so would I, the Hellboy films are kickass.

If I had $140 mil to give I would =( I too would looooove another Hellboy but short of some kickstarter super miracle I just can't see it happening. Maybe Pacific Rim will do well enough Del Toro can finance it himself, that'd be awesome but who knows.

I am crying please make this happen.

I don't care if Perlman does it for the cash or not, but I really wanna see the promised third movie. The second one felt like it lead to a third-movie-conclusion.

Well, first things first: Del Toro's other ludicrously risky project, Pacific Rim, needs to do well. And as awesome a premise as it has (giant robots voiced by GLaDOS punching giant sea monsters), it's definitely not a sure thing.

But if that movie is a success, the sky's the limit for for Mr. Del Toro.

Do it! Because two reasons, not because Hellboy 1 and 2, those are dandy films, especially the second one, but because Guillermo Del Toro and Ron bloody Perlman! Del Toro owns the tone and seriously how many dumb films does Perlman have to named-red-shirt in before you give him the top-tier swan song he so definitely deserves?! I've loved this actor since City of lost Children.

Ron Perlman is the fucking man. If they do move forward, Doug Jones also has to be involved. He's a mainstay in most Del Toro flicks and he's the only one who should be doing Abe.
