In the center of the room, Elianus saw a machine unlike any he had seen before. Using his incredible intellect, however, the elf was quickly able to deduce what the contraption did.

"Obviously, doing something to the pedestal makes something happen to the big spider thing, which then does something to something underneath it, possibly changing it into something else, while making something happen to create scorch marks and craters."

...Alright, maybe he still had some work to do.

He noticed another book on the wall, similar to the one now at home within his pack. Picking it up, he read the title: Skill Stone Manufacturing. Intrigued, he opened it and began to read.

I was hoping you would be able to come up with your own pun. But if you can't think of any try this.

Gelatinous Cub (Just drop the 'e')

It will transform the giant monster into a Gummy Bear. Get it? Baby bear made of Gelatin? Gelatinous Cub? *rim shot*

The Magic Marker is from the Xanth series by Piers Anthony, and thus runs on Pun Magic.

lol. Oh Ok :D , Ok

*Ahhhhhhhh This Jelly is eating me* Lyitanom struggling to raise the pen scribbles Gelatinous Cube . . . .Still struggling violently the cube quickly hardens as the works written change to Gelatinous Cub. Swing the sword manically the severes the bears carcass from around his body falling to the floor with an almighty thump. . . .*WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. . . . .* Panting and now clutching the sword and pen tighter than ever, Lyitanom slowly gets to his feet, and heads carefully towards the door swinging the sword in front of his as he moves.

sorry it's just I'm so used to playing sat around a table, where when your dead your dead, so you make a new character (though not as cheesy as in the Gamers lol)

You weren't dead yet, the cube had engulfed you, but that isn't instant death. Normally if we were playing around the table you would get a saving throw, and once you are engulfed I'm pretty sure there are ways to save yourself.

The nearly transparent gelatinous cube travels slowly along dungeon corridors and cave floors, absorbing carrion, creatures, and trash. Inorganic material remains trapped and visible inside the cube?s body.

A typical gelatinous cube is 15 feet on a side and weighs about 50,000 pounds, though much larger specimens are not unknown.
Combat

A gelatinous cube attacks by slamming its body into its prey. It is capable of lashing out with a pseudopod, but usually engulfs foes.

Acid (Ex): A gelatinous cube?s acid does not harm metal or stone.

Engulf (Ex): Although it moves slowly, a gelatinous cube can simply mow down Large or smaller creatures as a standard action. It cannot make a slam attack during a round in which it engulfs. The gelatinous cube merely has to move over the opponents, affecting as many as it can cover. Opponents can make opportunity attacks against the cube, but if they do so they are not entitled to a saving throw. Those who do not attempt attacks of opportunity must succeed on a DC 13 Reflex save or be engulfed; on a success, they are pushed back or aside (opponent?s choice) as the cube moves forward. Engulfed creatures are subject to the cube?s paralysis and acid, and are considered to be grappled and trapped within its body. The save DC is Strength-based and includes a +1 racial bonus.

Paralysis (Ex): A gelatinous cube secretes an anesthetizing slime. A target hit by a cube?s melee or engulf attack must succeed on a DC 20 Fortitude save or be paralyzed for 3d6 rounds. The cube can automatically engulf a paralyzed opponent. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Transparent (Ex): Gelatinous cubes are hard to see, even under ideal conditions, and it takes a DC 15 Spot check to notice one. Creatures who fail to notice a cube and walk into it are automatically engulfed.

A Very Nasty Monster lol

I probably won't be able to do much with the RP this weekend. I'm swamped with homework and shit. I'll be back in the swing of things by monday (hopefully). In all fairness it's more likely to be Tuesday.

But, dude, Limos is, like, GONE. I was just hopin' one of us could move it along while he wasn't here... Oi! Limos? Is it cool with you if one 'a us takes over? Or do you have, one of those... set story-line things? Because if so... I totally had no intention of taking over... and, y'know... RUINING everything or something like that.
I only [i\]supported[/i] the act of SOMEONE else doing... that.

You know what? I think my cerebellum is slobbering. What if what I thought, about who I think I thought I was, was just... [i\]that[/i]??

Hell, you win Tougie, vengeance here ain't fillin' me with holes today.
(But mark my words, I WILL come back to campaign in '012. I WILL!)

I lost the game.

RULES OF THE GAME:
-If you think of the "game", you "lose".

-You must state that you "lost" OUT LOUD.

-You have 30 minutes to forget.

This should keep us distracted! A-Hur-hur-heh. You lost.
