A smear of red suddenly appeared on Elianus' book, obscuring the sentence he was reading. Confused for a moment, he looks up to find the source of the distraction: an arrow protruding from one of the scholar's throats.

"Dar'zcha!", he swore in his native tongue as he jumped to his feet. He glanced around the rest of the wagon, noticing the arrow-riddled corpses of the other scholars he was traveling with. Suddenly aware of his surroundings, Elianus heard the screams of people from outside of the tent. Horses cried wildly as steel clashed against steel, raising a hurricane of sound loud enough to wake the dead.

...He must have been more engrossed in his book than he thought.

Jumping out of the cart, the elf got his first look at the carnage. Bodies lay everywhere, while still more were up and fighting against what appeared to be a group of bandits. Not caring to put his intellectual skills to the test in a fight, Elianus threw himself underneath the cart he had just been inside, trying to make himself as hard to see as possible, and waited for the battle to end.

Leon was now facing tree opponents.
"Come on! Give me a break!"
Leon duck under a slash and impaled the bandit in the chest and flung him on the other bandit. Leon turned around to find the bandit lunging at him. The bandit tripped and fell onto his sword
"that was lucky"

Erin stabbs the bandit that stole his book many times. splattering the ground, him, his knife, and his book with blood (Which is now ironically unreadable because of it), he stands up, breathing heavily

"Take that... you... son of a... *****"

Generally speaking, moving closer to people with weapons is not a smart move if they have demonstrated either skill with their weapons or a willingness to use them on others. Fiddeus had seen one of the bandits slay the guard who had been about to open the cage, and now his fellow prisoners were leaving the relative safety of said cage and almost inviting the fellows with weapons to perforate their bodies with them.

First chance I get, I'm going to ground...

Fiddeus followed after the others leaving the cart, eyeing the surrounding area for potential hiding spots.

Leon kicked a retreating bandit in the gut, found some rope and tied him up
"Now then. Stay put and we won't have any problems"
Leon turned and picked up a bow and arrow and shot another retreating bandit in the head

You don't need to post so many times in between my posts. If you want to do a lot of thing just make it one longer post. Also, for a commoner you're just a smidge too lethal. Back off on the wanton bandit slaughter for a bit. They would be at or above your skill level.

Most challenges in the future will be much stronger than anyone in the party. It's more about creative use of your profession than it is curbstomping.

Longblade reaches the safety of his elite troops and they break off from the fighting. The Bandits who were attacking the slave carts follow behind, as does the majority of the other groups. Several bands are too intent on their looting to leave the fight just yet and continue assaulting the carts. Freed from the distraction of the elite bandit troops the heroes are finally able to move down the column and repulse the bandits.

Longblade turns to his elite bandits as they crest the ridge and move out of the view of the caravan. The most official looking of the bandit elites turns to longblade. "Sir. What do you want us to do now?" The bandit asks. Longblade ponders for a moment before calling back from the head of the group.

"Shadow the caravan until they reach the ruins," he yells, "We'll let them take the loot out for us. And deal with the traps of course."

I would prefer if you RP'd a little more, stabbed a little less. Don't get too carried away with the expletives and try describing the actual stabbing in grotesque detail. ex.

By this point the rampant and unchecked stabbing of the bandit corpse has reduced the unfortunate fellow's chest to something approximating ground beef. The copius blood has, ironically, caused the pilfered book to smear into illegibility.

Regardless Eric continues to stab the ruined torso of the bandit. Really it's quite cathartic. To his skewed psyche the patterns of blood which had squirted on to the walls held a certain morbid beauty. Performance Art, if you will
((This adds detail to your fight, has a total squick factor, and forshadows a greater evil to come.))

You don't have to use my brand of description, but try to add more detail to your post. You want a good two paragraphs per post usually. Right now you're posts are a little skeletal.

Extremely sorry for not posting everyone, I went to the Lake District with some friends to go clambering up mountains without warning. There's so much reading to do, could someone gimme a quick heads-up as to what the basic plot is and what the hell's going on. Cheers.

Basically, we've been attacked by bandits, we drove them off, Erin stabbs a corpse to the seven hells... that is all

Content that the puddle of bones and meat that had once been a bandit had learned his lesson about stealing, Erin turned around to collect his book

Only to see that it was blood stained to the point of unreadable

Erin groans, this had not been one of his favorite books, but it had been long... long enough to keep him busy on the long road ahead

He stood there, pondering exactly how he would spend the rest of the caravan ride.... god forbid that he socialise with the barbarians that had come along with him

Erin lets out one bitter word, and turns to rejoin the caravan

Joe looked at the grisly scene, disgust in his eyes. He was used to seeing raw meat and the like in his pub kitchens, but a human being in this state? He felt sick..

"That's....that's not right" he said (in his Cornish accent which he now possesses) and subsequently produces a small mushroom from his pack.

"Anti-sickness mushrooms. The Witch-Doctor prescribed 'em to me, As I be gettin' aches and pains in me gut now an' then. Nothin' to worry about." He said with a weak smile, chewing on the mushroom. He didn't think the sickness he felt at the moment was anything to do with illness, but better to be safe than sorry, he always said. He winced suddenly.

"They don't 'alf taste like shit too."

Leon walked over to Erin and sees the half-hamburger like body
"Are you trying to open a butchery or something?"
Leon went over to the bandit he tied up and saw that the rope was loose and that there was a bottle in his hand
"That's just great. He killed himself"

With the commotion around him finally dying down, Elianus managed to work up the courage to pull himself out from under the wagon. Brushing the dust from his robe, the elf turned to survey the scene.

Several members of their group were gathered near a horribly mangled body. Certain the man to whom the body belonged was beyond saving, Elianus moved throughout the battlefield, looking for any injured he could help.

Leon looked back at the poor guy
"Why would I waste time being funny? Do I look like a comedian?"
Leon kicks the bandits corpse over and pulls a cloth out from his pocket and cleans his blade
"Nice and shiny. Just as a blade should."

Joe turned to face Erin.

"Nah, no problem, just a dose of the belly-bugs, I'll be fine." He said, and gave a hearty laugh. He then produced a small barrel from his pack and took a long swig.

"Ahhh, there aint nothin' that ale can't fix. Anyone want some of my finest Butterbur-brewed ale?"
