RPG Frustration Rage!

I just spent 3-and-a-half hours grinding on my favorite game (Persona 4) and ending up getting a cheap Mudo death right before I reached a save point! I am beyond PO'd at this point and am on a RPG hiatus right now. This got me to remembering all the other times this has happened on other games like FF12, Fallout 3, Onimusha, etc. I want to hear your trials of futility and see if they suck more than mine.

Nine hundred hours of Fallout 3 playtime, gone down the drain.

Spent around seven hours grinding in FF6 to level Celes to Lvl 99. Died, had forgotten to save, lost 35 levels.

I've had a few instances like that, thats why i opted to quicksave every 5 seconds

Not really, see i use the mystical (save game) button.

But dying multiple times in WoW pissed me off ill admit

That's the only reason why I ever rage quit. I just drown in my own tears... then I get angry. I DON'T wanna DIE!!!!

if you want RPG rage go play FF5 and find out you didn't bring enough supplies to outlast N-Zone

I wish my PS2 didnt blow up (literally heard a pop sound from the counsel as it died) bc i still need to finish that game.

Although, yeah I concur with this as it also happened to me the first time I attempting FF5.
Also, the worst part is after taking a break you don't really remember what you were doing and if its any game besides FFXIII (Linear) you kinda forget what to do. Thats definately happened in a lot of RPGs I have played. Takes forever to get back into them.

The final bosses of Final Fantasy 9 and Dragon Quest 8. They're just too hard for me.

I don't know what it is about FF9, but when I was 12 I beat every boss hands down (even that secret planet dude in chocobo sky garden thing), at age 21 I now struggle just to beat the main story ones, and still can't beat Necron. I was lucky to get the other pumice piece this time!
