It seems I'm always the first one to say "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition" when someone asks the RPG question.

i've been trying to find a fun rpg that actually takes time and skill to beat it... but i haven't found any success anyone want to refer me to some good ones?
Try Pathfinder, D&D 1E-4E, or Warhammer Fantasy/40k.

:)
I've never played Pathfinder. Assuming you're talking about this thingy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathfinder_Roleplaying_Game], what're the advantages/disadvantages over D&D3.5?

I haven't played it myself, but it's effectively a third-party release to 3.5 of what 3.5 was to 3.0. They rebalanced a number of things, removed most if not all dead levels in each class (sorcerers get a bunch of bloodline stuff with their class for example), and generally cleaned up a number of minor issues. It's well done, from what I've heard.

On the topic of great pen and paper RPGs, I'd strongly suggest World Tree, but I know I'm in the minority (because nobody's heard of it.)

I know these have all been mentioned before, but:
Demon's Souls
Dragon Age Origins
Disgaea
The Elder Scrolls, but you've already played those.
Fallout 1, 2 & 3

Not mentioned yet:
The World Ends With You
Suikoden games
Rune factory games

I'm sure I'm missing some stuff... I'll add some when I remember.
