If anyone knows a moment in an rpg that out-awesomes these, please(If possible.)link a video of it like i did above.

Think of moments that made you drop your jaw completely in overwhelmed awe(Or at least the closest thing to that.)rather than just stuff you kinda liked.

I take it you're a FF fan?

Meh, I don't really enjoy most RPGs, although I like a few, none of them have awe-inspiring moments in them.

For me it was seeing Sin for the first time in Final Fantasy X and then when you see it swimming and realize how fucking huge it is.

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn

Being captured and defeated by Irenicus. I mean I'm the bloody protagonist, you're not supposed to defeat me and most certainly not with such ease. Twice. Nevermind the whole 'stealing of souls' bit and the following 'Bhall's essence trying to take over' ordeal. Hell, any scene were you got to interact with Irenicus was pure badassery, what a fantastic villain!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer

Meeting with the floating husk of a dead god, standing upon an enormous broken skeleton that's slowly drifting through space even as the skeletons skull still blazes with internal light and continues to 'live' in a miserable sort of way; All because of you and the curse you bear. That tiny spark of fear from Myrkul's curse creating just enough belief to sustain the dead gods existence.

And as far as crazy over-the-top spell animations go my favorite is still the Mechanus Cannon in Planescape: Torment.

Short, but oh so sweet!

For sheer awe, basically the last few levels of Bayonetta were pretty much, wait, that boss can DO that to me? WTF!?!?!?

Good stuff tho.

Am I wrong in saying Bayonetta isn't an RPG?

Hit a helicopter with an RPG in a war FPS once. It was pretty awe-ful. Does that count?

In Fallout 1, wiping out a whole town, coldy and methodically. I've never felt more evil in my entire gaming life.

[sub]I can still remember planting bombs on people, happy days[/sub]
Man gotta love it. And the sequel too.

And Arcanum. Disintegrated a few cities of their inhabitants, but what really did it for me was big Reveal/Twist. Well either of them really.

I... I get to... explore that...

Two seconds later, a young, enthusiastic Hazy was brained by a Yao Guai on a flying unicycle.

Well, that was pretty much my experience.

OT: FF6.
The world fucking ends. It cannot be topped.
