which is why the very next sentence is "Assuming the whole thing doesn't fall apart - say, if the DC Cinematic Universe isn't a monster financial hit on par with the MCU..."
I'm aware. I just don't think that quite captures the hole they're starting from.

2019, eh? Nothing like planning ahead.
And if there's one thing we know about DC's movies, they're doing nothing like planning ahead. *rimshot*

Thank you, I'll be here all week.
Point taken. Also, will you accept my high five because that rimshot was dope.

Do ho ho. Good luck with that, WB, if the negative feel surrounding the batman v superman dawn of justice (I still can't believe it is actually called that) and previous DC movie disasters is anything to go by, the chances of that working out well are somewhere between me being headhunted by george a romero and the moon suddenly transforming into the head of Christopher walken.

As far as rumors go this is a rather practical one. Another Batman film after the trilogy has done it's work. The caped crusader is too much a cash cow to let sit idle or play second fiddle to the JLA. (Much like the rumors of a Hulk movie after seeing him in action with the Avengers.)

How many reboots are we going to see until someone tries to design an original superhero again? is it just that it would be too difficult to write a new one, with new powers and flaws, rather than keep grinding the nostalgia dollar even though it's long since turned into a pile of dust?

Why do people keep appreciating this awful gritty remakes? All I ever see in it's favour is "The old story, with a new twist!" it's like the people who appreciate this are intentionally apathetic because the truth makes too much sense or something. Why do we keep paying to see these films and thus finding directors with absolutely no vision (See- Christopher Nolan) to make more of the same?
