End what? I was asking for your reasoning, not attempting to draw you into debate. You are entitled to your own justifications for your own purchases. That's your business, I just wanted to know why.

As to everything being defined by its OS, you're actually closer to the truth than you know. I'll elaborate in the next point.

No. Macs USED to excel in the graphical department. Since Intel started designing Mac chipsets, the only difference between mac and other systems is the OS. That being said, the only advantage Macs had was the exclusive software. With Adobe no longer exclusively developing its packages for Mac, you'll find that windows systems are rapidly catching up with macs in multimedia organizations. In fact most of my aquaintances involved in architectural modelling (The pretty 3d walkthroughs you show the board) will not go near a Mac.
