Well...I'll continue to play the single player and not touch the multiplayer I suppose.

Mark my prophetic words, there WILL be a fee to premium multiplayer content. You'll likely get your map packs as part of that fee plus various skins and other little perks.

Count on it.
And the best guns, don't forget them, people will definitely pay out the ass for a Barret over the WA2000

Woo-who(Sarcasm) another Call of Duty game more bland over used CoD FPS! I mean it's not even been a year yet and no one plays Black-Ops anymore!

on a serious note after playing Crysis 2 I go never go back to the crappy game

so this is an announcement of an annocement for COD?

On a serious note, i'm starting to feel like the guys who pay for a new Madden every year with very minor tweaks. The funny part is that we can all go on about it but at the end of the day we're going to fork over that £40 or $60. It's inevitable; and they know it.

As for people commenting on "freemium" multiplayer, i'm fairly certain that would not happen, because they currently get £10 or $15 out of us for those crummy map packs which are only three or four new maps big, or in some cases, reused from old games entirely. Why would they bother setting up a subscription based service when they already have an easy way of getting a quarter of the cost of a new game from such minimal content? Even if they did offer new guns and skins, it would require yet more work to make that when they barely have to do a thing with current DLC - and i'm sure setting up a subscription based service for every player would be far more hassle than it's worth, in the end. If one in every hundred have issues with the service, that's more time and money they have to spend on customer service because someone wants to cancel their sub or has issues with the service. Not to mention a while back we had someone from Activision(i think?) completely stamp all over these rumours of a subscription based multiplayer, so let it lie already.

is it being made by the same people who made black ops?
No, it's (most likely) being made by what's left of Infinity Ward, but I heard a rumor that Raven Software or Sledgehammer Games might be assisting.

Amazing! Looks like the market still wants more CoD if they keep making it. They can't be that bad if people buy them, am I right?
I don't know, feels like people don't like it because it's popular and sells well, what the heck!

People are entirely willing to put down 60 for the base game, or even 120 for an elite edition or something. Then they all pay 30 for two map packs a month later... can this mean anything else than that this game is bloody amazing? It might aswell do!

Myself I'm a PC gamer and I really didn't like the ports they made so unfortunately I'm missing out, but my friends who play? They stay in line all night and buy everything the very moment its out, and they love it.

I like the COD series since WAW for the coop and zombies could care less about the MP or SP anymore to many other games do those parts far better.

Here's hoping that, at least on PC, BF3 rips CoD a new one in sales. We need to stand up for ourselves lol.
