The last time it happened, we got Assassin's Creed II. So fingers crossed.Dalisclock said:I hope this is true. An AC game set in the ancient world? An AC game that isn't rushed out? An AC game that I actually give a shit if it comes out?
Hell yeah.
Literally all of those are already in the games.RJ 17 said:Yeah, but then you'd be missing out on being a ninja! What with all the Tenchu-styled roof-jumping and grappling hooks and smoke bombs and dart gu---...you know what? This all probably already exists in the form of a mod.Zhukov said:It'd be utterly identical to any fight in the last three AC games, just with a katana model instead of Another Fucking Sword #19.Elfgore said:I'd love to see an Assassin's Creed fight with a katana in use, it'd be amazing.
Someone's probably already made a mod for it.
Nevermind.
Syndicate sold a fraction of what Unity sold. There's all the motive you need right there.nomotog said:I do not buy it. People have been yelling at Ubisoft to slow down for years and they don't listen.
It did not.FPLOON said:Well, of course the rumor's true... I mean, didn't the last game have two playable protagonist of equal length gameplay-wise?
I skipped a couple of Creeds, but Syndicate (bought it because it was basically on fire sale) explicitly does deal with the ancient aliens.undeadsuitor said:Egypt isn't surprising. I wonder if that means they're going to bring back their ancient aliens backstory? I remember they dropped it after modern male protagonist 19 died, but Egypt of all places would be perfect for bringing it back.
I want to second thisDalisclock said:An AC game set in the ancient world?
Because Ninjas! They don't realize that feudal japan has really uninspiring architecture besides the temples and castles. And those aren't really common like you can see tall buildings in the big cities in post-medieval Europe. It's mostly small wooden shacks. Honestly Feudal Japan would be quite a boring AC game if you ask me.WolvDragon said:Why do AC fans want feudal Japan the most anyway? Why is this specific time period the most often requested? Also I'll take this rumor with a grain of salt, since the source is 4chan of all people, not really the most reliable site on the internet.
If its true though, then good on Ubisoft for straying off the annual release bullshit that has been hurting AC games for a while now.
This time you're some faceless operative out to find a new maguffin of Eden before the Templars find it.undeadsuitor said:Really? Interesting. I might have to...watch it on youtube. I kind of dropped out around the second or so sequel to 2, though I picked up the Pirates one cause pirates (honestly, the pirating/ship parts are worthy of their own game to me) I figured they were still doing their meta-game tester commentary bit
Believe it or not, but I do think it might've been Ubi's mindset, considering Watch Dogs 2 rumored being made/released instead of (another) AC game.FPLOON said:Well, of course the rumor's true... Wait, really? So, my "sarcasm" was actually "more" sarcastic than I "realized"??Something Amyss said:It did not.FPLOON said:Well, of course the rumor's true... I mean, didn't the last game have two playable protagonist of equal length gameplay-wise?
Well, then... I guess I give them too much credit... (Still weirded out about the lack of W_D2 hype, though...)Poetic Nova said:Believe it or not, but I do think it might've been Ubi's mindset, considering Watch Dogs 2 rumored being made/released instead of (another) AC game.FPLOON said:Well, of course the rumor's true...
