Looking to get 1 since im a fan of the harvest moon series and rpgs in general, so which is your favorite (give your reasons for the preference please =P)

3 incorporates some really interesting mechanics into the franchise, like carrying more than one object at a time, but has an odd plot. Still a very, very good game.
1 and 2 are linked story wise. They're both super solid games, although 2 takes a fairly long time to get you into the meat of the game.
Really any of them are a great choice. If you only pick one, I'd recommend 3, as it has some great features, and you don't need to worry about catching up on the story.
Just sweet jesus stay away from the Wii one. It's pure POISON.

The only one I played was the first one on DS, I thought it felt a little too clunky honestly. But I'm partial to the 2D Harvest Moons in general because in all the 3D versions I've played it never really felt right. Looked like a good game though, never really gave it a fair chance because I got it with a bunch of other games in a big sale. I'm going to have to give it another chance when my backlog get's a little shorter.
